Title: Holidays and Pilgrimages
Post by: DirtDude on August 16, 2009, 01:29:21 AM
1) The Day of the Dude (if we don't forget)

2) Lebowski Fest (aka Synod)

3) The 10th of every month (a day for dudeist reflection and meditation)

When is The Day of The Dude?

I think The Day of the Dude is March 6th, the anniversary of the date the film was released (March 6th 1998).

Yes, I think it's March 6. Let's hope we make it to the finals this year in celebrating it.

There's also "What Day is This" Day. Celebrated anytime we're so into abiding that we forget what day it is, more or less.

Can we add the 20th of April as an observance?
Any ideas for names?
Strict Regimen Day?

I like Limberday. That's awesome.

I wanted to try and organize a holiday for whatever day the film actually begins on but it's still unresolved.

See this: http://dudespaper.com/the-day-donny-died.html/

Sept 4th or August 5th? Maybe by next year we'll have it all wrapped up.

Yeah, yesterday was a good day. I watched the Sacred movie and partook of the Sacraments. It was a good day.

As today is the UN International day of Peace, should it be included or recognised on our calendar?

Anything that promotes peace is worthy of recognition, so yes it would be appropriate to recognise it on the calender.

Is there an official calendar of holidays? That would be most helpful.
