Title: James Randi, 92, dies
Post by: Masked Dude on October 22, 2020, 07:28:35 PM
The famous debunker, James Randi (born Randall James Zwinge), died today at age 92. He had already retired and had decided to stay out of the public eye for many years. I'll miss the old coot.

I heard recently about Randi thanks to the book by Tomasz Kwaśniewski 'W co wierzą Polacy? Śledztwo w sprawie wróżek, jasnowidzów, szeptuch...' ('What do the Polish people believe in? An investigation into fortunetellers, clairvoyants, folk healers...'). Definitely someone to read more about, even if I am still a New Age fan (taking prescribed pills when necessary). The life is more funny this way to me.

Never heard of him but now I will see what I can find and read up.

Thanks for sharing about this.

Now, I do believe in some of that timtomfoolery, and the other many words, but those who profit from it, snakes imho

A real phychic, claivoyant, what have you; I feel they are quiet and mostly keep to themselves and certainly do not go around advertising and asking money, clams, whatever.
