QuoteNow lets not confuse all this with devil worship, you know, the whole dark robe sacrifice-a-virgin bat eating shindigging that kind of goes on out there.
I have read LaVey some time ago and I would say those things are different. I roughly know what you mean - not being afraid to find some pleasure in the world surrounding us, no gods above your head, living according to the rules of nature.
But - and it is a big but - Satanism does not like weak people. The nature here is cruel, not balanced. The ultimate goal is to become the king. Either you are the enlightened one or you are a weak psychic vampire to avoid. So you cannot become a Buddhist-like 'just Dude'. You are going to be the other Lebowski.
I've never understood the whole 'sacrificing a virgin' thing
I think it's a very 'un-dudeist thing'
To waste good potential dude/dudette material like that
Not to mention the fact it's gonna be an absolute bummer of a day
For the virgin!
I've spoken with some Satanists. Your average run-of-the-mill Satanist doesn't actually sacrifice anything. Depending on which sect they're in, they may not even have rituals. From what they tell me, Luciferians are the dangerous ones.
QuoteLuciferians are the dangerous ones.
Thelemites, commonly understood as Satanism, say you should bend the universe according to your will yourself, Luciferians say there is an enlightened guy from hell who will teach you how to do it. Depending on the way you see the guy to follow, yes, it may be a bit risky.
Nontheism or non-theism is a range of both religious and nonreligious attitudes characterized by the absence of espoused belief in a God or gods.

I like Satanists because they freak out the squares.
