Title: The right balance between adhering to a strict drug regimen and fitting right in
Post by: jeanaragao on March 05, 2019, 12:56:30 PM
Howdy dudes, how's it hangin'?

I wonder how is it possible to take it easy without abiding to the english way described by the Pink Floyd song...

See, I decided that this year I would learn another language and also how to play the guitar, as much as spending some time abroad. But it turns out that most of these goals demands discipline and that's not how I usually roll, ya know? I actually relate wonderfully with that eastern bar thing, but I guess my cycles are too short for some endeavors...

What do you wiser fellas than myself think? What's the right balance between easy-going and discipline in everyday's life?

Thankee!

Learning guitar isn't that tough.
Being great at it is tough. But being just good is no big thing.
Learn some chords to start with then some basic scales for solos. Pentatonic and Major and Minor.
There's a bummer learning curve to start with but you can get past that pretty quick.
Once you can play some stuff then it gets enjoyable.
And now you have so many resources available online.
And even the playstation thing where you learn to play guitar.

I feel you, dude, and I'm definetly taking your advice about the guitar, but those are only examples. What I'm really blathering about is that sometimes we are faced with zesty enterprises whose outcomes are fabulous stuff, but the path to get to them must be really exhausting, you know?

I'm asking how you folks decide which stuff should or should not be pursuit... I'm just curious, really.

Which we pursue and which we abide by is an individual's choice. For example, for the Dude it was all about the rug. It tied the room together.

For Walter, it was stepping over the foul line.

For myself, I have found the right balance. Since I live in Canada and pot is legal here, I can order it online and have it delivered to my door by the postie (who is now my bestest friend).

I used to live in Canada.
Going back sounds more appealing

Learning guitar doesn't need to be exhausting unless you go at it in an unchill way.
Spark a joint and zone out on a couple chords over and over.
Just get a little vibe going and chill.
You just add on bit by bit and you get better

Oh hell yeah man.
Music is about tapping into something that lives in us all.
At the border between the lizard brain and the intellect.
A little lubrication can help you get there.
