Title: In memory of Henry Allingham
Post by: dudewallah on August 06, 2009, 03:05:30 PM
Henry Allingham was buried last week at the age of 113 (he was dead of course).

Henry was the oldest man alive in the world and had endured two world wars. When asked for the secret of old age he replied; "Cigarettes, whisky and wild, wild women".

According to TV & radio programme maker Adam Rutherford who has interviewed many people aged 100 and over; "these people live long because they have mastered the art of chilling out".

RIP the oldest dude in the world.

Also a Dude was Harry Patch, "the last fighting Tommy", who passed away a few days ago at 108.  He had an ale (a British oat soda) named after him.  He was one of us.
