So I've been pretty amused by all the hubbub about the Russian hacking because I just love to hear party loyalists on either side squeal.
But as things are shaping up I really think we have something to worry about here.
This fellow kind of puts things together. Wraps her all up. Didn't make me laugh to beat the band though.

All of this partisan squabbling is exactly what the Russian want us, and expect us to do. There's clearly an agenda that the Russians have, and that is reshaping the geopolitical world to their advantage, and electing Trump was one of their goals.

The concern is that there was a quid pro quo.
That what the Russians expect is that Trump will put US policy up for sale.
And the thing that sets off the alarm bells is his appointment of the head of Exxon Mobil as Secretary of state after he just made a 500 billion dollar deal with Russia and received the "order of friendship"" medal from Putin in appreciation.
At this point Trump has given Goldman Sachs the economy (nothing new there) and expanded that by picking Goldman Sachs president as his economic advisor and of course there is Steve Bannon former Goldman guy. I think I clearly remember Trump criticising both Republicans and Clinton for ties to Goldman?
Well nothing new here. Just all taken to a new low. But then how can this be surprising when you pick a Manhattan billionaire?
But this potential that we are putting American foreign policy up for sale.....
HOLY SHIT!
It's really starting to look that way. It is just Trump being Trump.
His MO has always been "say what you need to say to pull the wool over the eyes of investors (voters) and then fatten up at everybody else's expense" He's done it over and over and this is just the next chapter. I'm telling you it's the story of the lady and the snake. Don't complain when you get bit. If you know he's a snake.
Trump just doesn't care if Putin kills people who oppose him politically (he does) jails his opponents (he has) or bombs innocent civilians. If there is a giant payoff in looking the other way Trump is on board. Trump being Trump.
Russia is still very much our enemy. Just because we find both sides fighting ISIS doesn't mean that has changed. They are fighting ISIS because they back Assad.
And Iran. Trump's lack of criticism of Putin bordering on praise is fucking nuts.
How is that OK? I mean in light of all this new shit that has come to light?
He kidnapped himself. Hadn't that ever occurred to you? Sir?
That had not occurred to us dude. The meeting with kanyevil, is another joke to gain "cred" and appear in touch with popular types, despite what he really thinks of trump. Laughable, mang!
The Soviet Union no longer exists, and the Cold War was a long time ago. Russia and the United States must never go to war because both sides have many nuclear weapons. Even a "limited" nuclear war would cause nuclear winter and other massive devastation to the global climate. It is important that our two countries cooperate, for the survival of humanity.
The "Russian hacks" refer to emails that disgruntled DNC staffers such as Seth Rich leaked to Wikileaks to expose corruption. If Russian agents actually hacked and leaked the DNC's and Podesta's emails, they deserve our thanks. They are legitimate emails that reveal astounding corruption in the DNC. The Democrat Party leaders have hijacked and betrayed the progressive movement for selfish ends, and must be replaced. The Russian Hacking story is a complete fabrication according to the directors of National Intelligence and the FBI, an apparent distraction from many embarrassing revelations.
Clinton received tens of millions of dollars of donations from Saudi Arabia to her bribe-laundering "charity," the Clinton Foundation. Even if Trump is bought and paid for by Russia and Goldman Sachs, that is preferable to a president who is bought and paid for by the bloodthirsty and totalitarian House of Saud. Surely, we can all agree that Russia is a less violent and more democratic regime than Saudi Arabia. I prefer the Russian candidate to the Saudi candidate.
Here's the key consideration for me. Even based on what the US government is telling us, the Russians are only guilty of disseminating emails and information created by Hillary's campaign and/or the DNC (to the extent you wish to consider them separate entities). The Russians didn't "hack" the election in the sense of altering cast votes. The Russians didn't make-up any emails or information. They made public the private thoughts of public officials or those campaigning for public office.
I'm not defending it. I'm not saying it was for the better. And I didn't vote for the guy who won. It's just incredibly saddening to see/hear those on both sides (that is, all those pederasts with a (R) or (D) after their names) misrepresent the currently known facts so they can hyperbolize or minimize the matter.
More accurately, our national leaders should be called _pedophiles_ with a (R) or (D) after their names. Pederasts sleep with little boys, specifically. My understanding was that the elites' underage sexual deviancy was more equal-opportunity with regards to gender.
Personally I couldn't care less about whether or not there was any effect on the election. And I think the chance of nuclear war between Russia and the US is zero. There simply is no more ideological "winner take all" paranoia that fueled the cold war. Communism did not win the ideological war. That was the paranoia.
The military will always paint a doomsday scenario. The nuclear nightmare now is ISIS with a nuclear weapon. Neither the US or Russia would have any possible upside in attacking each other. Ever.
My real concern is that this administration will be owned and operated by corporate interests to a level never before seen and that even the most basic concerns for human Rights and the well being of our allies will take a back seat to business oportunities. The currency that Russian graft would take would be oil. There are huge business opportunities to be had if we simply abandon any concern for how Putin conducts himself. But we should be concerned about that. Not so much for our own safety but as a commitment to freedom and democracy, decency all that stuff.
Of course we've seen how far that goes once foreign policy becomes unduly influenced by powerful corporations. The filthiest crap that we've engaged in over the last century have always been like that. And we have chosen a leader who is remarkably unconcerned for anyone elses fortune beyond his own. Trump the sociopath. I think that doing the right thing now officially takes a back seat to profit. He is absolutely incapable of acting differently.
I prefer the sociopath who hasn't ordered multiple assassinations of politically-inconvenient opponents (Trump) to the sociopath who has ordered multiple assassinations of politically-inconvenient opponents (Clinton). Sociopathy is reasonably common among business moguls. Trump has probably committed fraud and other shady business practices, but con artists do not usually stoop to outright murder like Clinton does routinely. If the Democrat Party wants to win elections, they should give us better candidates than serial killers who are more prolific than Ted Bundy, such as Clinton.

I may be way off base here but what has worried me for quite a while is that the planet is, and has been, controlled by the moneyed interests. I doubt that comes as any surprise to anyone. Money talks and bullshit walks. My concern has been that these hacks use the globe as a chess board for their perverse games. So although, in reality, neither Russia nor the US would gain a thing in the event of a nuclear war what if that was just part of the rich folks (I almost referred to them as dudes but I caught myself) game. Like one day they woke up and decided that they would like to see today what it would look like if the US and Russia went balls to the wall.
Like I say, I'm probably way off base. But just because there are conspiracy theorists doesn't mean that there's no conspiracy.

Do you believe they were running a child sex ring also.
I encounter this sort lunacy and it's just depressing.

The irony is that people who bitch most about wallstreet and corporate lobbiests running Washington seem to have chosen to go one further by just putting them directly in charge. I mean do we really just not care about conflicts of interest any more? Isn't this the opposite of what Trump was selling?

So you are suggesting that people who are making billions of dollars a year would voluntarily chose to blow everything up? Call it a hunch but I think that is pretty unlikely. That wouldn't actually happen till somebody is backed into a corner. That was the climate that fueled the cold war. Two incompatible ideologies determined to win it all. A total divide. An iron curtain. That's gone.
Putin is the ultimate corrupt plutocrat. Which of course explains Trump's apparent admiration. Birds of a feather.
Nuclear war would be bad for business. That's why someone like Putin swimming in filthy lucre would avoid it at all cost. He'd rather just grow wealthy leveraging his power while the citizenry struggles.

Well... there is this...
Quote"Can't we just drone this guy?" Clinton openly inquired, offering a simple remedy to silence Assange and smother Wikileaks via a planned military drone strike, according to State Department sources. The statement drew laughter from the room which quickly died off when the Secretary kept talking in a terse manner, sources said. Clinton said Assange, after all, was a relatively soft target, "walking around" freely and thumbing his nose without any fear of reprisals from the United States
Not only did she try to murder Julian Assange, but after everyone laughed at her, she kept going like it wasn't a joke (because it wasn't)
Given that she so openly and callously tried to murder Julian Assange... It very much sounds like it was not her first time ordering such a strike on a political opponent...
Yeah there it is.
Noticing that anything resembling a discussion has to deal with you dragging some sludge from the lunacphere or infowars or whatever bottom feeding pit you get your crap from.
I don't like Hillary Clinton but it's not because I'm listening to the garbage like this.
And why the fuck are we devolving into a Trump or Hillary discussion anyway?
Argueing with you is like hearing a five year old say "but she started it"
I have not yet discussed the Clinton Mafia's most serious crimes on this a-hare forum. Serial killings and illegal wars and regime changes resulting in the deaths of millions are the least of her crimes against humanity. Those are merely means to an end.
The actual problem is that the Clinton-Bush mafia have colluded with their counterparts such as the British royal family in most of the countries of western civilization to promote corruptible individuals to power in government, media, and business, to make them part of a vast mutual blackmail network via child sex trafficking, to maintain an artificially unstable and violent state of affairs in the third world to produce orphans for abducting and selling on the black market, and to weaken law enforcement and national borders in the West to ease the flow of drugs, adult slaves ("illegal immigrants"), child slaves, weapons, and other contraband. The participants extract a cut from the black market side of this activity by receiving bribes and other 'favors" through a complex network of front businesses and "charitable' organizations. I have only scratched the surface of their evil here.
Trump hinted that he is aware of the full extent of this matter and intends to burn the whole scheme to the ground in his roast of Clinton at the Catholic Al Smith Charity Dinner the day after the third debate. 'You said that it takes a village. In Haiti, you took several of them," or something like that.
Here is a link to the forum of the citizen investigation into this matter, which is called "pizzagate," specifically to a thread summarizing and sourcing their findings.
https://voat.co/v/pizzagate/1467064
Also, I forgot to mention, when Clinton, Podesta, Abramovic, and the rest of their coven are finished raping the children and/or farming their blood for rejuvenating child blood transfusions, they ritualistically sacrifice the children to Moloch, eat them, and get high off of their pineal glands.
Look, I voted for Bernie Sanders in the Primaries, and attended my state's convention as a pledged delegate for him. I was extremely disheartened when he lost the nomination. There are rumors that the party and Clinton Campaign conspired against him, and pushed him out into the cold.
However it was just a rumour, and I take it with a grain of salt. Look SagebrushSage, I'm not a fan of Clinton either, but I voted for her in the general election because I felt like she would have continued Obama's policies, which I liked. I'm not a fan of constant drone strikes, which is why I regularly write my rep and senators in congress about, but I feel like Clinton would have simply been a continuation of the status quo, which I prefer over a downward spiral into oligarchy.
Websites like the one you provided here, Breitbart and may others report fake news. It's been shown time and time again by reputable sources that sites like these provide fake news in order to push an agenda. The far right has had it out for Clinton since the mid 90's, and some of it is based in rational criticism, but much of it has devolved into partisan nonsense, and is simply a vendetta for the sake of a vendetta. Yes, I'll grant you there was shadiness with the Clinton Foundation when it comes money laundering, but it has also done a lot of good in the world. (look at the Trump Foundation if you want true corruption)
I'm not defending her negative aspects, but I am hoping that people drop this vendetta bullshit, and look at her honestly as a politician and a person, not a right-wing caricature
Also, what happened to all of the neat discussion about spirituality and philosophy? That was why I can to this forum. Ever since the election, this place has become a haven for toxic political discussions, and that's why I don't really come around anymore, because there's nothing but conspiracy theories and bickering.
Jianblade, I totally agree with you. Nothing ruins the vibe like politics.
Would be nice if civil discussions could be had here but as Sagebrush has shown, even Dudes lose their cool when politics come into play.
I think we're going to have to start banning politics here the same way we do at the Facebook page.
Don't want to be a hard on about this, but you know, fair warning.
Anyway, this is what is revealed in the cryptographically-verified Podesta leaks on Wikileaks. Breitbart was assassinated for writing about this back in 2011 or so. This matter is what Assange has risked his life and endured 6 years of illegal imprisonment to show to us. This is what Seth Rich was assassinated for leaking to Wikileaks. This is what Clinton ran for president to avoid imprisonment for. I do not mind that you do not believe me, but you all deserve to know the truth. Enjoy your civil discussions.
Ok, how's about this.
What, in your opinion, would be an ideal system? I mean, take the best bits from anywhere in the worldand come up with something that works for all. 1,2,3 go!
How about a divine right monarchy? I think it would be neat to have knights and kings again!
I think it would be neat for America to reorganize itself as a constitutional republic for the first time. Under what I would include in the modern classification, a republic has universal suffrage for citizens and representation for provinces that is proportional to population. This has never been the case in our country.
Currently, many states have disenfranchisement in place for felons, at least those currently in prison, so we do not have universal suffrage. Nixon exploited this to deny the vote to many in his opposition, who happened to generally smoke marijuana, via the Controlled Substances Act and related state laws. Many states do not have ID verification for voting or voter registration, which is de facto permission for non-citizens to vote or for citizens who wish to abstain to have votes falsely cast for them, for example by family members. Also, we do not use the modern democratic standard of ranked choice / instant runoff voting for selecting representatives in this country, and instead use the default system of plurality voting. The lack of ranked choice voting tends to deny minor parties representation in the legislature or a chance at the presidency. This is a form of disenfranchisement, effectively denying suffrage to holders of minority viewpoints.
There is grossly disproportionate representation in favor of voters from less-populous states through two votes per state in the the Senate and one vote per state in the processes for states to call a constitutional amendment or approve amendments. The electoral college is approximately proportional to population, so its results should be respected for the current election. But it should be replaced by a popular vote. By the way, the fact that there was a movement to overturn this election is hypocritical since Bill Clinton and Obama both won elections with a larger popular vote discrepancy without complaint. Amendments should be approved by national referendum, and some process involving a national petition followed by a national referendum set up for calling a constitutional convention.
Ah, excuse me, they have a wiki now.

You can't advance the interests of 1% of the population with 1% of the vote.
The thing about the tactics of the right that you sort of have to admire is how keenly aware of the nearly unfathomable gullibility of such a large percentage of the population. If I was in the room when somebody suggested most of the crap that they come up with I'd have to say "no that could never work. People aren't that stupid". I stand corrected.
As I see it Hillary Clinton would have been a solid line drive into the a gap for the "real owners" as George Carlin liked to call them. A stand up double. Donald Trump is a grand slam into the upper decks. The gift that just keeps giving. Now that there is a willingness to go down this road you can expect further swinging for the fences. Attacks on the first amendment. Further erosion of privacy. A permanent rigging of the system to the cheers of people who purport to hate corruption but support the most corrupt things imaginable if it promises to benefit them, which of course is bullshit sold to the gullible. The desperate. Anxious for someone to hate. The brown shirts. Same old scenario.

You have to hand it to Donald though, it seems like only he was the only could convince the American people to cut out the middle-man, and elect a billionaire directly, and convince them it's in their own best interest. Like seriously, do you really expect a billionaire to care about the problems of the working middle class? Fuck no.

I am probably wrong about a few points. For example, my points about the Clinton mafia's child sex trafficking, ritual child sacrifice, cannibalism, and abuse of pineal glands as a drug is supported mostly by a Wikileaks-leaked staff email where a staffer says she will "sacrifice a chicken (child) to Moloch in the backyard" for good luck, by the fact that Clinton's video-documented Parkinsons-like and Parkinsons' dementia-like symptoms, uncontrollable evil laughter at inappropriate times, and the plug removed from her tongue match the medical description of Kuro, a prion disease similar to mad cow disease that you can only get by eating humans (children), by the Wikileaks leaked email by Podesta discussing Spirit Cooking, which is an occult ritual championed by Abramovic involving the consumption of various bodily fluids, by photographs of the Podestas with Abramovic, the many Podesta emails using obvious code words and phrases such as "playing dominoes on cheese or pasta" and "handkerchief with a pizza-related map" that match with an FBI document describing pedophilia code words, by the fact that Clinton got a convicted abductor of 33 children from Haiti, Laura Silsby, off the hook, the obvious necessity of killing child prostitution victims to eliminate witnesses, the lack of any motive to restrict deviant behavior once one has gone as far as child sex trafficking, and the connections of all this to journalist Hunter S. Thompson's discussion of Adrenochrome and pineal glands in his book "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas," which seems to allude to real-world events. The fine details of all this are partly from the pizzagate community and partly from my own research after pizzagate came out, but I came to this general opinion about a month before that meme started from my own research.
It is possible that the Clinton mafia merely push illegal wars for purposes of bribery and insider trading, not explicitly to produce orphans through war and to improve the operating environment for child abductors such as ISIS and Boko Haram via the breakdown of society in their geographical regions to increase supply of orphans to the black market. The orphans might just be a happy side-effect. It is also possible that they only purchase fun time with children and cover for child sex traffickers in government out of self-interest to maintain supply, but return the children to their abductors when they are finished and do not concern themselves with the details of the childrens' acquisition, management, and disposal. So, they might not be quite as evil as I suspect. You will be changing your tune in 2 years or so once some of what will doubtlessly be a long and complicated clusterf**k of court cases start producing convictions.
Hey Sage, wanna talk about philosophy?
Nah man. I've said my peace here. It's hard to convince people about the influence of organized crime on governance, but I try. It wasn't so long ago that we did this slavery crap out in the open. People are often set in their ways by their early 20's, and the KKK was still lynching black folks when Clinton was coming to age. I think that the last people of any influence to hold these ideas are finally dying of old age, but they sure are going out swinging.
Trump was corrupt, probably, but I think what we're seeing is a "Darth Vader throwing Palpatine down the bottomless pit" sort of situation. Trump is a mob-connected but anti-slavery civil rights era New Yorker taking off the gloves and giving a disgusting old Alabama KKK hag a good old-fashioned beating. Break out the popcorn; the next few years we get to watch a lot of corrupt warlords face justice under the law.
So you are serious about this stuff?
We have had some nut jobs but holy crow!
Seek therapy.

Of course I'm serious. Podesta's staff emails are creepy AF. Since they are gmail emails, they are cryptographically verified. Google includes this feature so that emails can be more reliably used as evidence in court. Podesta and Obama do not dispute the authenticity of the Podesta emails or the DNC leaks. DNC staffers such as Wasserman-Shultz and Brazile have lost jobs over these leaks.
Also, the NYPD was involved in the Clinton emails because they discovered Clinton's full archive of emails on Weiner's laptop during a child pornography/sexting with a minor investigation into Congressman Weiner, Abedin's husband. A chief of the NYPD said in a press conference that Clinton's emails on Weiner's laptop contained disturbing evidence of child prostitution, and that the NYPD would blow the whistle if the FBI blew off the evidence.
Also, look up "Creepy Biden" on Youtube. It's merely corroborating evidence, but Biden has fondled little girls multiple times on CSPAN.

Oh, don't worry. The crazy people will only be running the asylum until January 20th. After that, hopefully the sane people replacing them will successfully execute the criminals among the old establishment leadership for treason. Following a fair and speedy trial under the law for all concerned, of course.

"Everybody Knows That You Are Insane - Queens Of The Stone Age
You wanna know why you feel so hollow?
Because you are.
You're missing out? Well if you say so
Then you're missing out
Everybody knows that you are insane
You wanna know just how long you can hide from what you are?
Not very long
I have been lost. Down every road i follow out in the dark
On my way home
But i feel nothing. Am i better yet?
Everybody knows that you are insane"
You're delusional. I donno why people cling to these insane conspiracy theories. Is it because it gives them a morbid sense of security? Anywho, 17 American intelligence agencies have come out with evidence of the Russians tampering with the election. Not by actually tampering with the electoral process, but releasing key information at strategic times. Also many intelligence agencies, not just American ones, have found many fake news sites pushing "pizzagate" and other nonesense in order to discredit Clinton, who would have taken a harder line against the Russians. I fear Trump is going to stand idly by and let Russia gobble up it's neighbors, and that's why they spread all of this misinformation about Clinton.
So, investigative journalism and reporting to an international audience are "election interference" now? Americans have a right to receive international news. The community of nations is supposed to be watchful of each other as part of the international system of checks and balances. The international oversight of the American government by Russia and other countries is a public service to everybody. If Russia is responsible for the leaks, we should be thankful that our Russian friends are keeping a close eye on our politicians and letting American citizens know what they find out.
If Trump and Putin's desire for friendly Russian-American relations is such a threat, then the Democrat Party should not have permitted a candidate to run who is deeply mistrusted by the public and who has a lifetime of scandals. Also, if the Clinton campaign did not want certain information to get out, they should have followed standard information security protocols. Sanders is a good man who has sensible opinions and no scandals. He would have beaten Trump handily. I supported him. The election was the Democrats' to lose. All the Democrats had to do was reform, and they would have gotten away with everything scot free.
Through Bernie, the people extended a golden olive branch of forgiveness to the elites. In response, the elites cheated Bernie of his rightfully-won nomination, stomping the olive branch into the mud and spitting in the people's faces. Now, they get no forgiveness. They get Trump, and justice.
Hacking into the RNC and DNC servers is not "investigative journalism". It's fraud.
If getting friendly with Russia means standing by and letting them bully their neighbors in Ukraine and Eastern Europe, I want no part of it, even if it means a continuation of the status quo.
If it's not investigative journalism, it's espionage. Espionage is not fraud. Espionage, including "hacking," is an ordinary part of international affairs. We spy on our friends, and our friends spy on us. It is unsavory, but necessary. Espionage is non-violent, it provides third-party oversight, and it helps countries make more nuanced and informed foreign policy decisions. Espionage prevents war by helping to catch developing problems before war becomes necessary and while diplomatic options are still available. Threatening military violence in response to espionage like the Democrat leadership is doing is completely absurd, unprecedented, and out of line with diplomatic norms. We cannot permit violence in response to "hacking" from our leadership because this line of reasoning enables complete fabrication of cassus belli with only words. We can't let them start WWIII on the sole basis of an internally-produced sheet of paper.
As for Russian "bullying," Europe has many great armies and is perfectly capable of defending itself from border skirmishes. Europe far exceeds Russia in wealth and population collectively. Our expensive presence on the continent is unnecessary, and it infringes upon the rights of Europeans anyway. For anything short of total war, we should definitely stand by and let Russia bully their neighbors in Ukraine and Eastern Europe. Their border disputes have not been our responsibility since the collapse of the Soviet Union. We need to work with Russia to destroy ISIS, since our actions resulted in that group's existence. Otherwise, we need to stop meddling in foreign conflicts. Our collective ignorance and hubris with regards to foreign policy only makes the world more violent.
You're really good at twisting the truth to suit your paranoid delusions. I've never seen anyone bend over backwards so much to justify a political position that's based on conspiracy nonsense.

Tell that to Ukraine.

I really don't like the fact that Dudeism attracts so many conspiracy theorists who only seek out info that supports their pet theories. This is the opposite of what Dudeism is all about, in my opinion. I'm going to close this topic and probably ban this sort of crap
Sagebrush, you're totally welcome here, but please peddle this stuff elsewhere.
