Title: Dudeism Tee Shirts on Amazon - Not Good
Post by: Reverend Al on December 11, 2016, 08:40:23 PM
I wasn't sure where to put this, so I figured this was as good a place as any.  I'm hoping the person/people responsible for the Dudeism tee shirts currently being sold on Amazon read this.

I bought a couple of shirts about a month ago to replace the shirts I've been wearing for the last two or three years, and as a tee shirt connoisseur I can say I was very disappointed.  By comparison to the shirts that were formerly sold through the Dudeism website, they're just plain bad.  The print quality of the graphics is just as good, though a bit larger.  It's the shirts themselves that I have an issue with.  First, the material is thin and flimsy; I doubt these shirts will last half as long as my old ones did.  Second, and more importantly, is the way they fit--I can only imagine their "model" was a teenager with no shoulders and a huge belly, because that's the way they're cut.

As a consumer, I would like to suggest adding an option for something like, say, a Hanes "Beefy" tee or something similar, for which I would happily pay an extra $5-$10 per shirt.  I like my Dudeism tee shirts and used to wear them proudly, but if this current level of "quality" is what I can expect for my money...well, there are lots of properly fitting tee shirts I can buy instead.

Hi Rev
Sorry that you didn't dig the shirts. Amazon has a very generous return policy so I'd take them up on that if I were you.

The previous tee shirt provider, Printfection.com changed their business model and no longer do print on demand and drop shipping. Amazon also offers an American Apparel version of the shirt for more money but I'm afraid that they're cut for hipsters and won't fit well on many of our non-anemic followers. I could give it a shot though.

We also sell shirts through Galloree, though I haven't set up that many of the designs. Those are probably thicker. You can see the link on the tees.dudeism.com page. What designs were you interested in? Maybe I can set them up if they're not there.

One thing that seems to be influencing this is that the styles have changed. In the past beefy tees were the gold standard but nowadays people tend to like a thinner fabric it seems. Some people complain in the amazon reviews about the thinness and others say they're great and fit perfect. I don't think it's so much that Amazon is trying to cut corners but who knows.

Anyway, sorry for your disappointment. I'll keep this in mind. Cheers

The Dude Shepherd - Yeah, but neither Wal-Mart nor Fruit of the Loom sell tee shirts with the Dudeism artwork on them as far as I know.

Forumdude - thank you for your response.  I've already washed and worn them a few times, so I'm pretty sure returning them at this point isn't an option.  I think your statement, "The styles have changed" is key here--at the age of 55 I'm way out of their target sales demographic and they're not expecting too many people like me to buy something like this.  I just thought maybe if it wasn't too much of a hassle I'd throw my suggestion out there for consideration.  Ah well, life goes on, man.  In the grand scheme of things it don't mean spit.  Thanks again!

Well, you can just try to find another online store. I have a wide foot, and it is hard for me to find a pair of shoes at all times. Then I saw https://www.meadowweb.com/collections/footwear/our-legacy and browsed various models. Then ordered a few to keep just one. But is so happened that I finally kept all of them!

There's lots of different sellers on Amazon doing Dudeism tshirts - I should know, I'm just listing some :) but I have purchased my own and have been wearing them for a year before deciding to sell them.

I guess most sellers will opt for unisex tees which are kinda straight.  I did a video of me wearing them so that people could see how they fit.

If they fit weird it's probably because they are made in china.
There is zero consistency in the sizing.
