Title: Donald Fagen and Walter Becker
Post by: TaylorGrey2004 on July 05, 2009, 12:19:23 PM
The dudes behind one of the most artistically accomplished bands (and most perfectly recorded) ever, Steely Dan, abide.

They shuck the spotlight and even made fun of the grammy when they won it for album of the year by having a mock ebay auction page as a homepage of their site, pawning off the grammy to anyone that wanted it.

That is enough to earn my lifelong respect.

They use jazz musicians, which is a very dudely thing to do, and make music which inspires dude-like feelings of grooviness and a funky calmness. So I nominate Donald Fagen and Walter Becker of Steely Dan as historic dudes....
