Title: Acting undudely
Post by: Jianblade on May 10, 2016, 05:31:01 PM
I'm curious, what do you dudes do if you realize you've been acting undudely? Like if you're rude to someone, or you let something eat at you or whatever. How do you react when you realize it?

If you've been rude, or offended someone, apologise and make it up to them. If something is eating you up and you lash out or bite someone's head off, also apologise. If you mean it, they'll know, it's never too late.

Realising you've been a dick is good as it shows you have a heart/conscience. Basically, no one wants to be an asshole.

The question is too broad to get useful responses.  Perhaps you could narrow it down a little bit for us?

Sorry 'bout that, didn't mean to be vague.  I'm mostly asking in general as to help other dudes who might be reading this thread and be able to gleam some advice. And it's nothing really specific either, it's just every so often I just act like a dick. I'll say something rude, passive aggressive, or just judgemental as hell. I mean, I hate it when act that way because it leaves a horrible feeling in my chest later on.

My question should be: how do you dudes try to be compassionate to others around you?

You don't sweat it.
Roll a few. Spark one.
Have a barley pop.
Fuck it dude.
Can't be worried about that shit.

Everyone acts undude from time to time. It's like BikerDude said, Fuck it, man life goes on! At least you can recognize when you are being undude which is a step more than a lot of folks.

I should though qualify my view.
Undude in the sense of human weakness is one thing. You know letting things get you down and drive you to threaten castration. That is OK man.
But cold blooded undudeness, scheming to steal a million bucks from needy little urban achievers, well that is another thing all together.
I did not watch my buddies die face down in the muck so that these strumpets...

I've now come to the point on my path to dudely enlightenment that I realise in moments of direct undudeness that a pair of testicles is needed and an apology goes a long way. To admit you we're being a dick is the biggest step to take, nobody wants to be remembered as "that dick" After this then the subject should be over, if it's carried on by the other party then they become the dick and Fuck that, I don't need that negativity, life goes on man.
I'm happy to say that if I have been undude then I have some guilty feelings until such time as I have made amends if possible.
A J is also a good guilt work around.
