So, I was recently ordained (March 13, 2016) and I've been having some problems getting some exact details regarding how to get licensed(?) in Nevada to do weddings, etc. From what I've found out so far, I would need someone in my church to basically sign off that I'm in "good standing" with my church as just part of the ordeal/process... any Nevada clergy of the Latter Day Dude here that can like shed some light on this mess?
Thanks in advance,
StoneDude...
There is a thread in the forums here on Marriage rules in different state. I would think Nevada is probably pretty liberal. Generally what you would need is the Certificate of Ordination, and the Letter of Good Standing... both of which you can order on the Dudism.com site. In Nevada the rules and requirements can be a bit different from County to County from what I've heard so the best thing to do might be to check with the County Clerks office for the County you want to perform the ceremony in.
I'm going to go all Walter on Nevada's ass if it allows Elvises (Elvii?) to marry people but not fine upstanding members of this here intellectually coherent denomination.
