I Officiated my first wedding today and I must say it couldn't have been more Dude if I tried. I was napping on the couch as I am one to do and my buddy and his special lady friend popped in. They asked me if I could officiate their wedding. Of course I said yes and asked them when. They said they wanted to do it right then and there, so in my apartment, while still wearing my pajamas, I pronunced them Dude and Special Lady Friend in front of my roommate, my dog, and by bearded dragon. All in all it was a beautiful ceremony.
Far out, man. Far fucking out!
Don't forget the paperwork that makes it legal. in your area you might have the wedded couple take care of all that, but most likely you'll have to sign it.
8) That is cool dude! Don't forget what ZoeAbides says, 'Don't forget the paperwork.'
All signed and taken care of! The wedded couple handled the paperwork since I'm not much for occupying various administration buildings.
Well, that about wraps 'er up, mark it 8, dude.
I officiated one back in August. I gotta say, Sutter County, CA is very laid back about their paperwork. They made it a snap.

Uhhh...yeah, you might want to double check just to make sure you meet your city/county/state requirements for a wedding officiant if you haven't already. This isn't 'Nam. There are rules, and it would suck if someone at the league office saw the happy couple's paperwork and said, "Who the fuck is RandoRock? He doesn't meet our requirements. This isn't a legal marriage."
Of course, if they've already verified everything's cool, mark it eight Dude!
I made sure it was all legit when I was first ordained, luckily the state I live in is pretty chill with their marriage laws. I may be a slacker but I'm a through slacker!
On 15 February it was the anniversary of the one I did as a Dudeist.
It's a great feeling, huh? I recommend it to anyone.

What can I say, The Dude Abides. It is a good feeling! People keep trying to tell me I should advertise my services and charge but to me that seems very Undude.
