Just found this. Wanted to share.
Sweet-looking bird. The stuffing looks great, too. I think you gotta cook 'em separately, though, and then assemble for presentation. We do a cracker-oyster dressing (looks shitty, tastes great) that wouldn't even lend itself to that. Supposedly, the recipe came from my wife's great-grandmother. But they say she was an indian woman (squaw?) who learned it while being marched to a reservation in Arizona. Well, my geography isn't great but Arizona is landlocked and oysters be salt-water creatures. So the connection seems problematic.
Ah hell, I done dissembled away from the theme here. Yes. Happy Dudes-Giving, ya'll. Hope you did your thing - whatever that may be. For us, well, we're actually getting together tomorrow (work schedules) but I've watched the Charlie Brown Special, some football (half-time of the Bears game right now), and sipped from a flask while helping the wife put up X-Mas lights, decorations, etc.
Happy Dudesgiving to you Dudes as well! My Special Lady and I got together with family and ate some great food, had a little wine, some laughs, and just enjoyed the time shared. That might be boring to some, but the time you don't spend with people you care about is time you'll never get back. Fortunately we don't have any nihilists, fascists, or human paraquats in the family, so it was a good day. 8)
It was a day to abide and practice the fine art of dude-like slacking. 8)(http://dudeism.com/smf/Themes/smf-curve_dude/images/post/thumbup.gif)
