Title: Alan Watts, Bill Nershi
Post by: Mo413 on February 05, 2015, 01:18:45 AM
Just want to suggest Alan Watts and Bill Nershi for entry into the great dudes of history, I'm sure a lot of folks on this forum already know who they are, but here's the rundown for those who don't: Watts was a mid 20th century philosopher who was influenced by Taoism and Zen, his view can be summed up as "Everyone is already fully enlightened, so there's no point in chasing after anything, just go with the flow"  (that's not an actual quote by him, just my way of catching his view in one sentence) Bill Nershi (The Nersh!) is the guitarist and singer for The String Cheese Incident, kinda like Jerry Garcia and Willie Nelson rolled up into one, he spent his early days as a Colorado ski bum and bluegrass picker, has a laid back style in both music and attitude. You can check out both on youtube, thanks, and take'r easy!

I'm a long term fan of Alan Watts. Even my little brother (he's 30) is just getting into him.
