I want to give a copy of the movie to some friends that haven't seen it yet. However, all i'm seeing in stores is this recent widescreen release. Has it been sanitized ? any knowledgeable opinions ?
What do you mean by sanitized? Like no fuck words and such? Just as long as it's 119 min. and rated R, it should be the complete version. Just make sure it's widescreen. Get the blu ray if they have the player. It has more extra behind the scenes stuff.

I don't think I've ever heard of this movie being sanitized or what not. Although the first DVD version I had of it didn't have english subtitles (which is a bit of a pain when you are hard of hearing) but that one must be 14 or 15 years old.
