I just got ordained, and while it seems that Dudeism is well established in the US, as a Norwegian abider I was wondering if there are any pages with information regarding Dudeisms status in other countries. For example, it seems unclear weather or not I am able to wed people here. Are there any other Norwegian abiders out there? If so, please respond. At your own leisure, of course.

I'm not sure how well established Dudeism is here in the U.S., but with regards to being able to legally wed people or perform any other type of official ceremony it's advised that we check with the local legal types--the people at City Hall, for example--to find out. Even if they don't recognize Dudeism as a legitimate religion, here in the U.S. almost anyone can be authorized for one day to perform a legal wedding ceremony as long as they meet the local city or county requirements, so you might look into that as well. It sounds exhausting, but it would be a real bummer to perform the ceremony and have the happy couple find out later that it wasn't legal.

The wedding question is a difficult and thorny one. I agree with Reverend Al check with the boys down in legal before leaping into anything.
Personally I'm in the UK, where Dudeism has no recognition at all, but that's only legally. You can have a ceremony under a Dudeist Priest then go to the registry office to get the legal papers done.
