Title: Paper-thin TV panels
Post by: DigitalBuddha on July 11, 2014, 03:54:16 AM
Just when you thought your big flat screen Plasma TV was really cool...

Giant rollable TVs on the horizon, says LG.

Don't get me started. I'm primed to go all Walter about the fact Panasonic (and everyone else) stopped making plasmas...even though they were demonstrably better and cheaper than similarly sized LEDs.

Paper thin...curved...4K...it's all bullshit marketing to fleece the consumer.

I'm one of the guys with a Society of Motion Picture and TV Engineers certificate on the wall and an old tube NTSC set in the living room.  Never really impressed with HDTV.
