I used to live in a flat on the bank of the Tees (in north England for the none UK).
There was a bridge just down the road from us and every autumn the sparrows would gather in their thousands.
For a week or more we would be able to see this sort of amazing aerial acrobatic display every evening as the flock would hunt for insects and just piss around for the fun of it.
