Not necessarily at this moment (but, hey, why not?)
What has your attention musically at the moment?
I go in many directions, and enjoy many different styles, but lately it's been Frank Zappa to scratch that itch.
Last week it was Bach. Go figure
The Blues dude....the Blues. 8)

I don't know how old it is I know nothing about the band. My brother had this song on his iPhone in the car and I really dig it's style. The band Clutch the song Electric Worry it's far out feels very dude to me.
I t's been all about the new Queens Of The Stone Age and Monster Magnet albums... (b-day gift.) And Blue Oyster Cult.
The Dirty Heads and Sublime. Give them a try. Very dude vibes
Nice!
This week has started off with a huge musical ass kick. 1st it was Coheed & Cambria. Then Tommy Emmanuel, into Transatlantic to the Doors, now it's Howlin' Wolf. (Hubert Sumlin's guitar playing is definitely workin' for me today!)
listening to the chili's a lot. but also hendrix basically daily on the way to college. feel like country needs revisiting, or drum and bass. I'll see what happens I guess hey.
right now I'm listening to Beth Hart as I read the forum.
Awesome artist dudes.

Good call CC I'm just listening to it now (and treating my work mates to the experience as well).
Now listened to her all day, then thought she reminded me a bit of Janis Joplin, but got confused and typed Joni Mitchell, so am listening to her instead.
;D
"Spocks Beard" Awesome band name! Great Prog Rock like vintage Yes circa close to the edge.

Okay, but remember you asked. It turns out I can not be a hippy, I love Heavy Metal, something about balance, or understanding the darkness, dunno.

It gets worse, especially today, my birthday reminds me that I lost many of the ones I love at this time of year. 11 years ago I got to lose my father on my birthday, that was not awesome.

Now that makes it a bit difficult but happy birthday anyway Dude.
I've been jamming to the Willie Nelson box set that my mom got me for Christmas this year. It's a nice break from my usual mix of Jimmy Buffett, the Rolling Stones, and The Riders in the Sky (they got that whole cowboy thing goin').
Thanks to all you Dudes for turning my attention to Ms. Hart. She's incredible, and I'd never heard her before.
I did know and like some of Joe Bonamassa's work and I'd never heard them together.

Currently listening to David Bowie (freak out to a Moonage Daydream baby)
Also been listening to a lot of funk like Earth, Wind and Fire and Michael Jackson (specifically Off The Wall)
Also a lot of Talking Heads
Ryan Hemsworth remixes of basically anything, they're way relaxing. and i usually don't listen to the music he remixes. so it's good to re-open my mind i guess.
Found this a couple days ago.....5 hours dudes and this is only part 1!
A few js a jug of red mountain and you're set for the whole frickin night dudes!
Me....I just love the blues. 8)

Oh man, my thinking had become sooo uptight. I hadn't even considered audio books online until that link. I mean, I have an Audible account for the mobile, but....shit, this is a whole new world of somethings to consider.
As to current listening, I'm on the audio book of Stephen King's "Doctor Sleep". I like it. Not ephemeral or preternaturally deep but good, solid, writing with enough historical and literary references to keep an active mind occupied. I've noticed several allusions to T.S. Eliot and am trying to piece that together with the book's structure.

Yeah, dude; there are a ton of cool audio books on Youtube. I partake as much as I have time for.
Kicking back to a bit of Biting Elbows. A small band from Russia.
I strongly suggest giving them a listen dudes.

Rolling Stones - Playing The Blues

Listening to Dudeism Radio and Ramblin' Jack Elliott was on. My wife recounted the time she woke up with him serenading her...in German. Ah, the 60s in San Francisco. She was there, I wasn't. :(
But, she survived and we eventually met! :)
Would have liked to meet some of the people she knew back then. Oh well, such is stuff.

Any of you dudes Gerry Rafferty fans? I've recently discovered his catalog, and his stuff has real time-release capabilities. The more I listen and the more I learn about him the more I'm moved by his music. Here's a Dudeist themed tune: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZV7izjIn62E (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZV7izjIn62E)
I'm going through a beck phase at the moment, up to his guero album and after the beck phase I hope to start getting into classical to be able to chill even more than I do already

That's a beautiful song, Dude!
I've been listening to a lot of Dave Matthews and RHCP lately, and I must say it makes me feel pretty dudely my fellow dudes.
Lot of Pandora lately, modified off the Dudeism channel. For some reason on one system it cloned the channel and then made it mine, so I just shared that one with my other devices.
Also slowly working my way through Ready Player One audio book. At least at five hours I'm over halfway through part one.
Today, Ishman Bracey: Trouble Hearted Blues (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKSaWJiV1_Y&feature=kp).
I been down so long,
Down don't worry me.
Can't be worried about that shit. Life goes on, man.
I listen a lot to Black Label Society, these days, and the ZZ top. Thank to my daugthers, I also hear a lot of Frozen songs.

I think you really have to read these first to get the most out of them.
I have some of the audio versions (you may have given them to me DB), but I still feel that reading them is better.

For some reason actually reading a book seems to stick with you better, true. An Audio Book is the slacker's way of reading I would say. 8)
John Lee Hooker - Goin' to Louisiana.
My favourite bands tend to come from the Rock/Metal genres but damn, the Blues is what I listen to when I gotta bring out my inner dude. If I didn't have work tonight, I'd chilling in my garden with some Jack on the rocks listening to this in the sunshine.
Speaking of the Blues though, could any of you dudes recommend some good modern Blues singers?
Corey Harris (http://www.corey-harris.com/)
Alvin Youngblood Hart (http://www.mojomusic.com/alvin/)
Guy Davis (http://www.guydavis.com/)
Joe Louis Walker (http://www.joelouiswalker.com/)
I could go on, but these should satisfy your blues craving for a while.
Sweet, thanks dude.

I can really recommend The Who's powerful yet thoughtful stuff from the late 60s & 70s. Especially things like their rock opera Tommy with Amazing Journey/Sparks, Pinball Wizard, We're Not Gonna Take It/ See Me Feel Me and their rougher live albums from Leeds and the Isle Of Wight with lesser know songs like Water and Naked Eye ;)
Harry Nilsson - Coconut.
Totally zen.
Got the ipod in album-shuffle mode. Right now it's playing me Dire Straits Love Over Gold. Good lunchtime music.
Take 'er easy
MADman
Some Blues as usual during my taking it easy time.
John Lee Hooker
BB King
Muddy Waters
Hugh Laurie - I do love his blues stuff.

Love this band! Although some would take offense at the song, I think it's cool.

I dig yer style, dude!
Son House's Death Letter has always seemed like a wailing proto punk sonic storm to me... I'm also a fan of Keb Mo, Kokomo Arnold, Petey Wheatstraw, Leadbelly, Bonamasa.... I could go on... man pretty much everyone you can think of (old AND new, and bunches in between). I listen to everything really, but blues is my "go to" music. Going to have to give a listen to Hugh Laurie, I had no idea that dude even was a musician.
Pavement's Slanted and Enchanted with a Slint Spiderland chaser.
