Title: A dudeist retreat
Post by: Synth on January 09, 2014, 08:15:28 PM
You know, dudes, I had a deeply religious experience a few days ago. There's this rave here in Brazil, Universo Paralello (which I highly recommend, by the way), and I went there with a few friends. After it, we went to a camping. It was in the middle of nowhere, real close to one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. But, more important than anything, it had this incredibly chill vibe. Abiding was something that came naturally there. I mean, there I was, in the middle of really cool people, away from every source of problems in my life, without a phone signal (we had internet, though, but why use it?)... and then I thought to myself "wow, man, I wish my fellow dudeists would see this". And then I had this idea of grabbing a few dudeists (I have only one dudeist friend, really, but I'm pretty sure we have more dudeists here, bowling, driving around, having occasional acid flashbacks...) and going somewhere we could clear our minds. Have any of you guys ever done that?

Now yer talking!
That's the sort of thing that I'm all about.
A Dudeist monastery perhaps? That would be awesome.
Days spent in quiet reflexion and working in the ganja garden.
Strict drug and alcohol regiment. The occasional acid flashback.
What could be better?

I know a perfect spot in Costa Rica if needed. A dream... I planed to stay there a week and went away almost two months later. True story, pure spot for wild abiding, bigbig time. Good riding waves just in front of the lodge, and that's just a detail.

Search Guaria de Osa, I know John and can deal a group price.

Actually when I was younger I used to go to the woods often sometimes for semi extended periods.
Going to the mountains and "getting my head together" stuff.
Truth be told, there are some pretty rocking parties going on out there.
There are some places in my neck of the woods (the Adirondacks) where big groups of people from all over the nation hike and camp and hang by the fire at night and Abide mightily.
I do miss it but I'm old and don't have the time any more.
But the Dude is out there to be found.
In the eastern type of sense.
The Dudeist spirit.
