Dudes,
I was up in Minneapolis last weekend to play some music at a memorial service for my friend's dad (who was my friend, too). The guy was a real Dude and died, like so many men of his generation, before his time (62!). He was a true original, very true to himself, and loved oat sodas, his family, and sharing oat sodas with his family. I don't think he ever knew of Dudeism, but he lived it in his own way.
But, my point, dudes, is this Dude's final gift to me was to introduce me to some new (old) music. I played a bunch of his favorite songs at the memorial. Most of the stuff he loved I loved, too (I've got some seasoned musical taste), but I had not yet thoroughly familiarized myself with the music of Boz Scaggs. I've been on a kick ever since-- the Dude is a very talented songwriter and has an awesome voice.
So, Dudes, give these a listen and pour one out for our fallen Dude tonight. Thankey!
