Title: For your abiding consideration
Post by: MindAbiding on July 22, 2013, 06:09:05 PM
Dudes,

Just sitting here happily planted on my sofa, thinking of the things I didn't get done today, and making a plan for the evening's first drink.  It makes me think: Not doing things is really a two-in-one lesson in the Dudeist way.  First, it's a way to practice the art of fuck it, a technique that we Dudeists constantly cultivate. Second, it's a good lesson in abiding: When YOU are the one who doesn't get things done, you realize that it's fine to leave things undone (shit, why'd you worry about doing that in the first place?). It's harder to see that kind of thing when someone else drops the proverbial ball-- too easy to slip into all kinds of reactionary thinking.

Anyway, Dudes, here's a song that I don't think we've talked much about, but one that I might add to the running for Dudeist Anthem for Our Time.

Pour yerself a cold one and take er easy dudes (I know you will).

Plus you can't cut the grass when it's wet. It just sticks together and lays down and the mower goes right over the top of it. You gotta wait until it dries out. At least that's what I tell the wife.
