We should have a Shameless self promotion thread here, one where entrepreneurial dudes can list their wares and craft. There are quite a few dudes working on feeding the monkey with Dude inspired art and other crafts, we should do what we can to support each other, and pass the word on to our, non-dude but dude friendly, associates.
It would be cool to also be able to track what dudes are up to, there is some really inneresting schtuff going on out there. I know of Mother Duderior and Boston's endeavors, I'm sure there are others out there. I have the Limber Mind running trying to sell some engraved glass, what are other dudes up to?
Nice idea, man! I'd love to know about all the artists and craftspeople sharing their talents with all us sinners.
on a some what related point i am looking for help from any dudeists that can help i have a indiegogo campaing going to make a "movie" rendition of "AM I A DUDE" if any one can help i would GREATLY appreciate it. and any funds that do not go in to the video in the end are being donated to the church on the whole.
Whelp, just got back from a Hempfest here in Maine, had a Dudeism booth set up, was selling my engraved mugs and spreading the Dude word. Unfortunately it was the lowest turnout they ever had in the 6-7 years they were running it. Bummer, turned out to be only us vendors, we started calling it vendorfest. But I did make a lot of new friends, and did clue a bunch of people into the Dude way.
A note about the hempfest, it was more amazing than you can imagine, weed, weed and more weed. It was like a farmers market for pot and shrooms. A true taste of wonderful things to come. You would barely think weed is not legal here in Maine, seriously, open air pot vendors. If you get a chance attend a hemp or harvest fest in Maine. Shit, volunteer to help at my next event if you want free admission.
So there's the new biz model, engrave Dude inspired glassware to support my Dude mission to spread the Take it Easy vibe. Passed out a ton of flyers and Take it Easy Manifestos, and engaged quite a few in conversation. Unfortunately I couldn't talk anyone into being on camera.
Also the "J" Jar is back, finally locked in a supplier for the blanks,https://www.etsy.com/listing/126303822/resealable-storage-jar-for-holistic-and? (https://www.etsy.com/listing/126303822/resealable-storage-jar-for-holistic-and?)
new lower price too. As always, use the coupon code "DUDEFORUM" to save another 20%, for my Dude friends.
I will also be partnering with Share Our Strength, a national charity to raise awareness and combat food insecurity in America. It is actually Jeff Bridges charity, and the Zen Peacemakers are very involved too. I think making sure people have the basic needs for food met, our society can only be better. Hunger is the first in a string of potential problems, erase hunger and you have erased much of what is troubling our civilization. Jus say'n.
working on designing a coffee mug to sell to raise funds for SOS, and to put on and promote bowling parties to raise funds and awareness. the ink is still wet on us partnering up, I have a lot of work ahead of me to make it all happen, but what's a Dude to do, get nap all day, and if everyone is fed, things will be more chill for deeper more relaxing naps, later.
So yeah Dudes, that's what me and The Limber Mind are up to, I see no problem mixing capitalism and altruism, as I am sure most here get that. It is not a question of how much money you make, but how you make it and what you do with it. I have three goals, first, pay the rent, can't help others if you are also drowning, second spread the Dude wisdom and third raise money and awareness for Dudely charities.

You got a Kickstarter going? It might help your cause.

Nice. Great idea!!
Whelp, my latest Dude inspired design at The Limber Mind. Been remodeling my workshop for the last month. Finally getting around to listing some designs that have been collecting dust here while I was otherwise engaged. https://www.etsy.com/listing/159414752/fid-lets-go-bowling-dudeist-beer-mug? Got more coming soon, and some that I will partnering with Share Our Strength, ya know, to feed the hungry little urban achievers.
I love to do custom work, so if any of you Dudes have an idea you want carved in sto...er...glass (actually can do both, same process), let me know mang.
Your art has been commended as being highly dude-like, Rev! Way cooling beer mug, dude!
I dig your style rev dude
I am a rookie dude here, but believe self-promotion is a very dude-like quality and will abide. Been earning a living in the tech and sports writing fields since before I ever met Jeffrey Lebowski, Walter Sobchak Donnie Kerabatsos or Smokey what's-his-name, dude that's always on the lanes. Also an experienced beertender and one-time 7th-grade long-term substitute for a Texas History class. My hands fit either a keyboard or a broom, not to mention a cocktail glass. For hire.
Just trying to gauge interest... Would anyone be seriously interested in getting a ring like this? It's gold-plated brass. While not expensive, it's not exactly cheap. (Not my fault, mind you. The raw materials aren't cheap, and of course I'd like to make a couple dollars.)
The render doesn't show the full effect, but it's close.

A definite achievement in dude fashion, dude. 8)(http://dudeism.com/smf/Themes/default/images/post/thumbup.gif)
Latest offering from The Limber Mind, The Dude's White Russian Glass. Got a custom order from a cool Dude in Australia, and now it is up for sale at my Etsy store. It can cost this starving artist dude a few clams to develop a new design, so when custom orders come in that can cover those costs and let me offer something new, while still giving Marty the rent.

They come in sets of 2, 4 and 6. Use coupon code DUDES to take 10% off dudes.
Dude, can those holy Graal be purposed in France?
Is your name Tim? 'cause my favorite color is blue, and I seek your WR dudelicated glasses (tell me you get the reference ;) ).
Well, I have been called a wizard before, and I do love explosions. But the name is Gary, can I interest you in an oatsoda?
They can, thing is the shipping is rather pricey, as I haven't yet packaged these I am not sure what shipping weight would be yet. But it would probably be more than the glass itself. Careful, I may talk you out of it. But yeah dudes, any European Dudes interested, I'd be happy to figure it out, just PM me with an address and I can pull those threads.
And if there are any
Nice glassware, definitely not over priced.
All the stuff we make for sale sits in dark enclosures and allows other people to goof off while it works. Doesn't look interesting by itself. :) My wife and I behind the scenes at one of our customers:

Okay, Ebay has an international shipping option, so The Limber Mind is now available for the rest of the world.
Still building ebay site, but here's a link. http://www.ebay.com/itm/251404487861 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/251404487861)
Hey, revgms, is that painted or etched? I'm getting into glass etching but don't want to step on any toes.
Technically it is called sand carving (sandblasting), etching is using acid to burn the design in, then there are the rotary engravings, stone wheel, copper wheel and newer dremmel type. Those I do, I haven't done any glass painting in years.
I should put my bio up some where, I did my glass engraving apprenticeship under my father at Pairpoint Crystal 95-02, dad taught me all my life, he was the lead glass engraver there for a while, before I was. I've got about 15 years of cutting glass under my belt, not my only skilled career, but my favorite.
My guess is that you are trying out rotary stylus, like a dremmel or acid etching, that's cool bro, there's plenty of room for more glass art. Plus Most of my stuff is sand carving, a little pricey to get into, and I can make the same design by the thousands pretty quick if I had to. Now, European glass engravers, that's who you have to watch out for, I could tell stories. They get a little touchy when folks mess with their craft, LOL. Worked with one crazy Scotsman glass blower, he'd cut you if he caught you stealing his techniques.
I had heard of most of those, so thanks! I have a Dremel, so I thought about that, too.
I'm still looking at different options and techniques.

Oh, just starting the Ebay thang, still debugging it. I will fix link.
This is also the start of me working with No Kid Hungry, 10% of Ebay sales revenue goes to them.
Okay, this bums me out that it is so expensive for shipping. So with that in mind I'm willing to hook up my forum buddies with these at near cost, $30 for a set of 4 The Dude's White Russian Glass, plus $60 for shipping (best deal I have found so far, any international shipping expert Dudes out there?), total $90 US.
I have updated Etsy with international rates, but email/pm me if any of you Dudes want anything, I will always give the best deal I can to as many as I can here on the forum. thelimbermind@aol.com
Things I've found about international shipping:
USPS asks the fewest questions, the customs form is super simple. Under $400 and you don't need any more than a 1 line description.
USPS International Priority Mail flat rate boxes are great if you can get stuff to fit. No tracking! Just hope it gets there.
If the customer is buying a high $ item like our $325 lighting controls, Express Mail International is the cheapest with full tracking. Gets it to the other country quickly, something like 3-4 days from here to delivered in Australia.
For incoming packages at least from China, their subsidized post is free to very cheap. For $$ stuff I use FedEx Express, for some reason they're way cheaper than DHL or UPS. This is from mainland China to California, I just placed an order yesterday for some custom stuff and FedEx was $26 while DHL and UPS were around $40. FedEx delivers in a few days from shipment.
Yeah, went with USPS flat rate, most items will fit in the box. And a bigger box (2 or more items) is $80.
Just ran across this video of a rotary engraver for when the orders start piling in. :) Actually, gives a reference for people how the mass-produced stuff is made.

I have been obsessively making what I call DUDEIST ROSARIES for the past couple months. Some affordable, some expensive, all made by me using vintage beads. Check me out? I haven't sold any yet, but just making them is helping me remain dude, and all of them once made, reside on my elaborate Duddha alter to imbibe them with dudeness until sold. i just made three more last night, delicate rosaries for a ladies neck using vintage lucite bowling medallion art, super awesome. anyway, here is my etsy store link.
