Spent a lot of time in my own version of Margaritaville this weekend listening to Jimmy B.; if he isn't already nominated and on the list then I put his name up for consideration.
'Changes In Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes' cinched the nomination for me, anyway...
That, and the laid-back thing (and '5 o'clock Somewhere') appeals to me...
Just sayin'... 8)
(He's part of the soundtrack of my life that ties the room together, so to speak...)
JB seems like a shoe-in! Also, some of his lesser known stuff should be in the running for Dudeist national anthem. Pour yourself a cold one and check out "Tin Cup Chalice" or "Tryin' to Reason with Hurricane Season" to see what I mean. Perdy good songs.

He'd be a great one for our National Anthem; I agree.
Saw him in concert up in Portland a few years back, he came out in board shorts, bare feet and a t-shirt and was fantastic (as always). The margarita parties in the parking lots on the way there made for a grand ol' time too...
(First time I heard him 'live' prior to that was in the movie 'FM' where he performed "Livingston Saturday Night"...)
I raise my beverage to the Margaritaville Dude... Cheers! ;D
Jimmy Buffett for great dude, right on, mang!

A northwest Dude, Chaplain K? Cool. I was born and raised in Portland (living in NC now). I saw JB at the Rose Garden a couple of times and once outdoors up in Washington.
Take 'er easy.

Nice to hear from a fellow Stumptowner! Born/started there but ended up south I-5 about an hour away.
Cheers from Chap. K
While some may disagree with me what the hay here I go... While I feel the same way about his music as the Dude feels about the Eagles, I do like his message, and the fact that it's all about relaxing on the islands and not worrying about the bull shit of life's little daily travesties.
