So dudes, was wondering what is your favorite pipe(s) (for tobacco that I mean ;D ), are? Here are mine, and what I smoke;

Dr. Grabow Pipes (the Star Fire, the smaller one in the front, and the Royal Duke), and Natural Cavendish and Vanilla Tobacco...

don't have pictures but got an old corn cob pipe and a carved one that belonged to my grandfather, no manufacturer names or anything on the old one though.  Simple white, carved on the top edge.  Simple, discolored due to the years of use.  See if I can't grab a picture when I get home.

As far as the tobacco goes, I just grab a pouch of Captain Black, usually the white or gold.  Put that in a tupperware, add a healthy shot of whatever Scotch/Whiskey/Bourbon I have on hand and place in the sun until the top fogs.  Then I crack it a little bit to let it dry out.

Just about out my Johnny Walker Black tobacco mix, might make some Makers Mark soon lol

Is the white one a meerschaum pipe? Have to try the the Scotch/Whiskey/Bourbon thing, sounds great, mang!

Nah not a meerschaum just standard wood.  Top is well charred from the years my grandfather used it and the few years I've put it through.  Ain't the prettiest thing, and it's banged up, but the sentimental value is what matters more to me.  Swear I go out in the yard of this house or work in the garden in back (He was an avid Gardner) and still get a whiff of pipe tobacco before I even light up.

Those look cool man. I quit smokin' (cigarettes) four years ago and don't uh, partake in herb, so no pipes for me. I love the smell of good pipe tabacky, but I'm too afraid to even try it for fear of getting hooked.

Yeah, man, you don't need the tobacco monkey on your back again. But have to say, I agree; love the smell of good leaf!

Three pipes in my possession: a Chacom with a short straight stem (my first pipe, and thus has special value), a wooden one a friend brought to me from Cuba (very kind of him), and a Peterson churchwarden I bought last year. Because, hey - churchwarden. You can only take it easy with a churchwarden pipe.

Must post a picture of them, once I have all three in the same place again.

As for the tobacco, my greatest favourite would be Peterson's University Flake. Strong, and smells lovely. Usually I just smoke Amphora's Full Aroma, which has about the best balance between price and taste of all commonly available tobaccos in Finland. I guess I should try the whisky trick out too, sounds neat!

Evil Iggy dude, it sounds like you have some righteous pipes, mang. I'll have to try some Peterson's Flake. Welcome to our quiet beach community and dudeism gathering! Good to have you here, dude! Fill up your pipe and abide! Don't worry, the ashes are good for the rug!

One of my abiding memories of high school was the art department head who use to walk around smoking his pipe. Good times :)

Finally, I have returned home (and to the forum!), and can post a picture of my pipes.

The middle one is made entirely of wood. I have a friend who's big on cigars and went to Cuba to purchase some. Then, he spotted hand-made wooden pipes at a reasonable price and brought me one, knowing my fondness of pipes. One of the nicest things any friend has ever done to me! It's a good pipe, too.

Man, that was a less uptight time and place. Now it would be:

CHANNEL 11 BREAKING NEWS: Art department head / radical pederast shot at school. Police state a pipe was found on the remains of said degenerate, justifying the use of deadly force. Captain Devon P. Montgomery-Hubble tells this reporter, "This force takes its service to the community very seriously. We want this to be a message to any other social deviants who think about lighting up in our jurisdiction. Seig Heil...er, I mean, you'll have to forward any further questions to the prosecutor's office.
