This man helped Amanda Berry escape her decade-plus kidnapper. When they offered him the reward money he said (paraphrasing) he gets a paycheck and to give the kidnapped women the money.
We need more like him.
Maybe an honorific should go his way.
I'll admit my first thought was how could he not see something dodgy was going on next door but then my wife pointed out this is the same story for all the kidnap victims who have been found or escaped and the neighbours didn't know. And then I remembered I use to live in a flat and one door next to the entrance was locked from the outside only. I thought it was strange but didn't think any more on it. Makes me now wonder what was going on in there :/
One of the family members (not sure who) said there were secret rooms that nobody was allowed into, and given the amount of ropes and chains in there (and I don't think I want to KNOW what else), it's not too surprising to see that they were able to keep the women there as long as they did. It should also be noted that the cops were called at least twice because neighbors heard screaming... and said they found nothing.
But yeah, Charles Ramsey would make a good Dude.

That would qualify him, in my book, as a great Dude in History.

He did a truly noble thing. He will be blessed beyond belief for this in ways he (and we) cannot begin to fathom. I agree with the Great Dude title.
