Wish they had one in New York. Best we've got is Five Guys Burger and Fries, just don't go within a five block radius if you're allergic to peanuts man, and white castle.

Yep that's them. Better then fast food burgers but a little on the expensive side. But the toppings are free so you can pick and choose what you want at that moment. Fries cup in a cup, which is then put in a paper bag and then they continue to fill the bag. Get a meal out those alone lol.
We don't have In-and-Out or Five Guys. However I now feel the urge to go to Fat Daddy's for a dead cow sandwich and oat soda. It's quite a drive but maybe in the next couple weeks.
No In-n-Outs in Wisconsin, either. I looked up the store locator and found that they are in only 5 states: Arizona, California, Nevada, Texas, and Utah.
In England we have Mcdonalds and Burger King. That's it! Nothing else! Nada. Nix. Zip. We used to have a thing called Wimpey which was decent but very 70's. (they served burgers and chips on china plates!)
We don't even have a British version of a burger joint anymore!

I would kill for an Arby's or even a Hardees! In fact I could probably swing for a Wendy's! Let alone the probable Nirvana that is an In n Out burger!
In fact let me tell you this dudes! The two best burgers I have ever eaten were served to me in Keflavic Air Force Base Iceland! USAAF! And then again on the flight line in RAF Deccimomannu Sardinia. Served of course by USAAF. This was basically a BBQ pit about 100 yards from the flight line they called it Mc Deccis of course! (the cc is pronounced as ch)
You lot are spoiled beyond belief and I don't want to hear any more about your gorgeous burgers!

Actually never been to an Arby's. There used to be one near me but in the 3 times I decided to get in the car over the years and say "I'm going to try Arby's tonight" I would drive to it, and there would be an ambulance with the lights going and someone being loaded in. Once, yeah ok. Twice... this is strange. 3rd time?

Here in MI we got CrapDonalds(shittiest food on the planet IMHO), Burger King(in which I've been known to partake in the occasional Whopper with cheese) White Castle AKA "White Casket" or "Blight Castle" because it can make ruins of the bung hole(I like to refer to their burger as a laxative sandwich), Checker's-formerly Rally's(good burgers Walter, especially the Big Buford)
Culver's, which boasts a "butter burger"(haven't tried em though) and Sonic to name a few. One place I really loved was Daly's Drive In. It was a small chain started sometime in the fifties and had the Daly Burger, which was some good eats. Sadly all but one of em are closed down. They never advertised much if at all, and in the parlance of our times it seems that's how places like CrapDonalds gets the bizz cuz it sure ain't the "food" that would keep even a halfwit with a decent palate coming back.
Fuck it, man. 99% of the time I make my own burgers anyway.
Regarding the OP, that looks like a damn fine burger! Damn, now I'm hungry.

You aren't missing much man, their sandwiches kinda suck wind. I haven't been there in years and the last time I did go the lady behind the counter made my sandwich right in front of me, bare handed my meat(hehe) and plopped it onto a smushed bun. Not a good experience. I won't go back.

I use to love a wimpy burger. In fact I once ate 8 in one sitting (they were tiny compared to modern 3 course meals in a roll you get nowadays) just a burger, some finely chopped onion and tomato sauce .... I'm drooling at the thought :)
About fast-food resties in France, the only real US burger-like are found in the center of Paris (mostly). Otherwise we have to deal with the clown. Soon we'll have some Kings though, might be good for a journey, and change a bit.
But we have our french-cuisine, which is one of my favorite hobby. Would love to cook something for you, dudes (no frgo legs, no snails, even if I think you miss something).
