Hello Dudes. Question,
How does one add a signature on this-a-here forum?
This is the first forum I've ever used, so I'm kind of a dingus
Profile>Forum Profile
If you look under your picture you should see a button labeled "Profile", in the drop down menu you will see "Forum Profile". It should be easy from there dude.
Hmmm went to forum profile, but saw no signature options.
Maybe I have to post a certain number of times for it to be available?
Hey Dudes,
I'm having a problem similar to BrotherShamus -- when I go to Forum Profile, there's no place for me to modify any of the settings. Got any, you know, leads?

It's down there somewhere dude....take another look. 8)
click on profile
you'll see summary and your profile picture on the left hand side of the screen
Look just above that for a tab that says "Modify Profile"
When you hover on that it will give you options to select what you want to change, click those.
Many thanks, Dudes. Unfortunately, we delivered the money... I mean, the usual solutions don't seem to be doing it. For whatever reason even within Modify Profile there's no place for me to paste a url to change my profile picture. It's one of those mysteries, westward to wagons, you know.
Perhaps this is a lesson in abiding...
hover over profile, modify profile, hover over that and a drop down list should come up, look for forum profile, click that. Once you do that you should see personalized picture, Specify avatar by URL.
Insert direct link, will usually end in .bmp, .jpg, or .gif into the text box right of the option and should be good to go
TDA, Thanks, dude, for taking the time out to help a fellow dude. As you can see from the very boring picture attached, there's no real place for me to change a drned thing. It's alright though, perhaps I should change my handle to Faceless Dude (not the one my loving parents gave me, for sure), and not worry about it.
I can't be 100% sure but looks like you did it right with the picture, but that Icon means a broken image. IE an unsupported .gif image when all that's allowed is a .Jpg, something along those lines. I'd suggest taking your image and hosting it to a free sight like imgur, or even a photobucket account. Then linking there. See if these help, if not, let me know and I'll see what else i can come up with

Hey Dude,
You're awesome for taking the time to post what you did. I think the issue is that my "modify profile" option (the second screenshot you posted) doesn't have all those fancy adjustable features that yours does (who knows why). When I go to that screen, all it has is the stuff I've already entered, with no way to change it. It did once -- the first time I created an account-- but now it's like I'm locked in or something.
But seeing as I've had me a white russian and am wearing this t-shirt, I'm not too worried.
Rock on, dudes!

try reloading the page. If that doesn't work try a different browser.
Just a thought dude. 8)
So you see something more along the lines of this when you try?

If so:
then you should get the screen where you can modify all those other settings. If that doesn't do it then I'm honestly not sure what's going on bud :(
Hey Dude,
Here's the problem: In my Modify Profile dropdown menu, I have all of the options you do except the one you circled. Mine goes from "Account related settings" to "Look and layout preferences." I shit you not.
A mystery, indeed. Thanks for your help, dude!

Plus one to that. I have the same missing menu item as MindAbiding.
I was going to change my profile pic to something less doggy and more Dudely, but I can't get in.
I think it might have something to do with the amount of posts you've made. I couldn't do it for a while, but one day the options just popped up on the menu with no explanation.
Good to know, Roystonoboogie! And here I alone was being punished for having fucked a stranger in the ass.
I'll take BrotherShamus' advice and just keep on posting. Once I've fed the message board gods perhaps they will reconsider.
Peace, dudes!
Holy Shit, Shamus! I just posted twice and lo and behold, that did it. Thanks for the tip, man! Wouldn't have thought of that.
Thanks Dudes. So I just keep posting?
OK, here's one for starters...
All it takes is a quick prayer and measly ritual sacrifice to forum gods
I'm having the exact same problem as those other two guys...

Keep pushing those post Dude.
The more you rack up the closer you are to being able to change things.
;D
There's definitely a message in that
Posting to get results for profile options :o
Seems 35 posts opened it up to let me make a signature. But curious how you dudes are putting pics in them? I get it to use BB code but can it be explained more on how?
I hate to bump an old thread, but this is happening to me too. Bumping it seems less douchey than bothering an admin directly.
Is 35 posts still the magic number?
To be honest we don't tend to publish the magic number because the whole point was to discourage spam and spambots.
;D
