Title: The dude, quantified.
Post by: Leopoldrose on December 26, 2012, 08:29:38 AM
So in a mashup (car wreck) of my geek and dude sides, I am now using technology in my attempt to abide more, which may in fact be pretty undude in itself. I use an app on my phone that has two buttons, one that I can hit to record a Dude moment, and one to record when I have been Undude. more than the data gathered, I am finding that the act of having to take a moment to think about whether my reaction to my wife or kiddos has been dude or undude helps me to stay limber and abide. Here is the app I am using, but there are any number of them available.

thanks leopoldrose! i was thinking of developing an app similar to this, based on Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi's book "Flow." This is even better. Cool!
