So I was thinking of ways to stimulate further Dudeist thinking, philosophy and speculation, and thought that a way to begin a strain of Dudeist thought was to introduce a general concept and see where is goes from there. So, with that in mind, the first concept would be...
8) Dudeist irreverence, or dude-like irreverence. What would it be?

Definately the first one "the quality of being irrevelant".
But the other 4 are good too.

Yeah, but was looking more for original Dudeist thinking stimulated by the word "irreverence." Any thoughts beyond the dictionary meaning?

The Dude just is,
I just am,
Who really cares?
Fuck it,
Lets go bowling!
IMHDO.
Well put dude! I think The Dude kinda reveres things that are close to him (like bowling) but on his own terms, in his own way. He is totally irreverent when fat Lebowski tries to sell him the whole 'achieving' value-system thing. But The Dude is not a cynic or a critic, like M5 says 'he just is'.
So that would make him irreverent in terms of being 'an unmoved mover' - his own man - not a hero exactly but ........
Irreverence is not a big part of the Dudeist philosophy, in my opinion. Yeah, when it comes to the whole reactionary movement, you could say there is some. But generally speaking, reverence is a big part of being a Dudeist. Just learning to appreciate the strikes and gutters and take 'er easy.
Having a rug you love being pissed on by a bunch of asshats. Applies for all directions of thought.
