I'm a trekkie, and yes I'm willing to admit that in public and not just on message boards where no one really knows who I am.  I'll admit it that I will see the movie, but doubt I'll spend the money to see it in theaters though.  After the way the last movie completely butchered all of the "history" that had been set-up by the rest of the franchise I'm somewhat disenchanted.

Back in about '86 while recovering from abdominal surgery I went to an all day back to back showing of the STAR TREK movies up to that point.My ex thought I was insane but I said the endorphins would do me good.The audience sounded like a football match roaring when the harpoon hit the bird of prey.Amazing experience that still gives me a warm feeling when I see it now.
