What a piece of crap. Bought it on PPV last night - :o I was thoroughly disappointed... extremely one-dimensional, stilted acting, not a stitch of character development. And - no boobies.
Don't waste your money dudes!
Know what you mean dude. It's out in the uk with an alternate beginning I think which may explain things about the big aliens. I got the impression humans were not suppose to have been made?
Ya, there's not that much of an explanation is there? Just that the alien bitch perhaps has some of our DNA.
Lousy movie - I'm sure James Cameron groaned throughout the movie. (If he even bothered to watch it.)

Have to agree, dude. B movie at best. But that is just like my opinion, man.

Gives me a thought... I would have been more entertained had I actually peed myself...
I wouldn't want to do that again. In the end I got too knackered getting up and down so I just used a popcorn cup.
I agree.
It was preposterous.
I had much higher hopes from Riddley Scott.
Seemed like they just made it up as they went along.
And sadly it set up for a sequel.
And I'll probably be stupid and watch that one also.

Yeah....agree with you.
The sequel is already in "post production" and Noomi Replace is again in it....so I will be watching it also! 8)

I dunno man, though I definitely agree that it underwhelmed in many ways, I can't say that I think it was a total waste. The sets and visuals were pretty awesome.
I still can't understand while they made Idris Elba talk with a weird psudeo-texan accent...dude is British, and he can totally do a way better American accent anyway (The Wire)
Plus, when I saw it in a theater, this guy kept turning around and shouting to everyone in the audience how amazing he thought it was. It was kind of annoying at first, but it eventually ended up being a great enhancement to my experience. He might have been drunk. He might have been handicapped. He was definitely inspiring, either way.
Saw Prometheus at the cinema.Due to an excess of real ale previously I missed many of the significant moments.Bought the DVD and was then inspired to buy the entire Alien and Predator series so I can put the story in sequence.Looking forward to a filmfest over chrimbo as I have just decorated the main lounge of my private residence and acquired a new fangled flat screen tv (34"). I have 3 days off this year so there will still be time for the obligatory ZULU/GREAT ESCAPE/DR ZHIVAGO.
Zulu is fantastic! That's all I have to say on that ;)
As great as the movie is,the true story is even more awesome.
