Title: Great Dude in History: Peter Cushing
Post by: The Doodler on October 19, 2012, 11:59:48 AM
Now he may not have been know for drinking and he wasn't really a fond user of cuss words, but Peter Cushing, known for starring in 1960's horror flicks and as Grand Moff Tarkin in Star Wars was truly the most chilled out and good natured of dudes in his private life.
His fame helped feed the monkey, but he was by no means a capitalist. He lived in a small fishing town not far from where I live and was well known among the locals for greeting his fellow dude as he walked through the streets.
Indeed I once heard a story that when he wrote his autobiography and a fan was enquiring about it, he told them not to purchase it but to rent it from his local library as it would be cheaper.
If you watch any interview with this fellow greater than myself on youtube, you will see a fellow who takes mellow to a new level.
Mark him Great dudes!

I'd say he was a dude if just for those cheekbones alone ;)

By the way, how did he become darth vaders boss if darth was the chosen one. Did the emporer fuck him over or what?
