Outrage over India cartoonist arrest
The arrest of an anti-corruption cartoonist in India on charges of sedition has sparked off criticism. Aseem Trivedi was held in the city of Mumbai over the weekend for his cartoons allegedly mocking the Indian constitution

As far as I can see, this is a political issue, not a religious one...correct me if I am wrong, though.
They're one in the same. Their religion *is* the fabric of their society and politics. Just like the dude who was recently jailed for claiming to be an atheist. The state holds the country's faith in more reverence that the actual *object* of their faith.
Religion will hopefully one day give way to philosophy, but I'm not holding my breath.

Backwards government; a pain in the ass! It's time governments all over the world keep out of people's religious beliefs!
