Most of you are probably maturer fellas than myself, and I don't know why, but I really feel the need to share this profound revelation that I've had the past few days (I heard someone else use the phrase 'profound revelation' earlier)
Since about September 2011, I did some searching, religiously-speaking, for some sort of peacefulness. I grew up around Christianity, and I knew that was DEFINITELY not somewhere I wanted to go. I tried out several branches of Buddhism, weed, all sorts of shit. After a while, I decided not to name the way of life I was going with, just to go with it, and it was basically: chill, don't let things bother me, watch movies, yearn for peace etc etc.
A couple months ago I watched the big lebowski, and I fucking LOVED IT. Then I watched it again that weekend, and I started being a bit Dudey. Then I watched the film five or six more times, and then I found dudeism.
Dudeism and I shared a lot of similar ways of living already, but what I really really love, and I'm not afraid to say it many many times to everyone, what I really love it the community here.
Ease on,
Welcome to the league dude! Looking forward to discussing the finer points of takin it easy.

Hey man! Welcome! I too disliked other religions for some time and was actually anti-religious for a while but then I found Dudeism and I finally found a religion that I could live with. I've always wanted to be a more easy going person and Dudeism helped me do that. So again welcome and we're all looking forward to having a few burgers, a few drinks, and a few laughs with you. Our troubles are over Dude! :)

I believe that's where the "religious movement" comes into the conversation. :)
In complete dude fashion, i'm going to repeat that as if it were my own, the 'shit' part was me being lazy instead of listing all the needs i guess :)
