Dudes,
On the off chance I get an Achiever whim and attend a fest, I was thinking of possible costumes. I keep coming back to Smokey, whom I most resemble physically and who I expect would be under represented at a garden party.
So my question to those fellers wiser than I, what kind of shirt is Smokey wearing? Is it a standard bowling league thing? (I haven't rolled for 40 years, and don't remember much about it.) I'd like to find a reasonable copy to monogram.

But the dude who is really under represented is the mysterious dude on the cliff during the ashes scene. All you need for him is to dress all in black. ;D
Ok, dude, I'll google around to see what kinds of league shirts there are. Smokey's appears to be a polo maroon with cream trim and pleat thing.
As far as all black goes, if I did that they'd think I'm a German nihilist, even without a ferret aka marmot, sword or bat. :)
If I really wanted to shock and awe - I'd go as Marty in a vine-draped leotard... :o

Marty's outfit has been done. Check out any Lebowski Fest video and you'll see at least one.
Man, I'm rolling gutters on finding something I can alter into Smokey's shirt, much less an actual copy of it. While the style is classic any time from the 50s - 80s, the execution is unusual in its plainness and color combo. What I've found so far have different colored collars and various piping bling on the sleeves and/or pockets, and often cheesy logos already plastered on the back, which I need to read "Cavaliers".
Looks like I'll have to sew one myself if I want it. Must be exhausting, man, like being a nihilist. (Wach auf Arschloch!)
