Jeff Bridges Is Game For More From The Big Lebowski
Let the record show that Jeff Bridges doesn't believe in beating a dead horse. True Grit's Blackie might have a different tale to tell on that count, but even after Tara Reid's amusing slip-up and Joel & Ethan Coen's equally amusing response, the Big Lebowski star is still happy to keep our hopes alive for more antics from The Dude.

I will be honest with you. Big business didn't understand the popularity of the film to start with, now it has been raised to "cult" status, big business wants a piece of the pie. The only way they can think of getting their hands on more money is a sequel.
There comes a time when you have to just let somethings go, let them be.
There is no point in making a sequel, it won't be anything like the original, as all the participants have moved on and won't be able to achieve even part of the zeitgeist that made the original so good.
All imdo of course.
Zeitgeist would be a problem, this is very true. But could a sequel have it's only zeitgeist such as "Star Trek; The Next Generation" developed it's own zeitgeist in the middle 80's as the original series did from the 60's?

Do notice the interviewer was having a cigarette after the clip of the Star Trek episode, just wouldn't get away with that today.

Hate the laughter track on the big bang theory, they do have their odd (funny) moment though.
Personally I'm still trying to work my way through the original series of star trek on DVD (the re-mastered version) and Enterprise (that I really enjoyed, apart from the theme tune).
Agree as to Penny.
Get a bit fuzzy about putting any one Star Trek film before another.
Just watching the episode of tbb when they return from the arctic. And to be followed by wrath of khan on film 4 at 9pm, joy :>.

Playing it right now and I love it. The Agents of Yesterday expansion is fun if a little short in the TOS stuff.
Not to derail all this star trek talk but I think a TBL sequel would end up being a terrible idea. They would either try to hard to recreate the old one so all we end up with is some half assed copy or they would go completely out to left field with it and it would end up being some shell of a movie that is basically creates new characters using the same names as the old ones.
The best examples I think of are Dumb and Dumber To or Joe Dirt 2. Sometimes it's best to just enjoy what we have.
