Interesting find!  Very one-sided, but it does expose yet another gaping hole in the "Greatest Democracy In The World".

The issue's been on the table in the UK for a long while, and all that happens over here is it goes up a grade and down a grade once in a while.  The issues are always the health benefits vs the negative effects of prohibition/benefits of state-controlling it.  So likewise, we've never moved on the issue really either.

I'm not sure you can call it "harmless" still, but neither can you call alcohol harmless.  Some people aren't good with alcohol, some aren't good with cannabis... some people are addicted to online gaming, some are addicted to gambling.  Most are not, in all cases.

So, although I'm not a partaker, I really don't see why we can't just sort this thing out on both sides of the pond, legalise it, enforce it like booze and cigarettes, and move onto something more pressing.

I don't promote it's use or think it should be used in any way other than moderation, but that's the same as my opinion of alcohol, tobacco and caffeine.

Hypocrisy?  I think it's a very good word to describe the political attitudes in the UK and US to this pointless debacle.
