Just the other day I was hearing that "Macs don't get viruses."
Guess they do.......
Half a million Mac computers 'infected with malware'
More than half a million Apple computers have been infected with the Flashback Trojan, according to a Russian anti-virus firm.
Its report claims that about 600,000 Macs have installed the malware - potentially allowing them to be hijacked and used as a "botnet"

That always could have been rephrased as "people don't target Mac's with viruses".
Or linux/unix.
Of course to be fair viruses on a Linux Machine or presumably a Mac (it's open BSD kernal) don't have as much free reign to do havoc.
I'm not a Mac user so I don't know but I assume they have unix style security.
On a desktop windows machine once your are on the system the entire system is yours to tamper with. On a linux or unix style machine you can monkey with the user's files but not system files.
