Yep, that's right the Kung Fu dude played by David Carradine. He lived by the Tao and didn't want to kick butt but somehow some loud mouthed redneck muther forced him to slap them around with his humble feet every episode.

Ah the classic role Bruce Lee created then was turned down from playing the lead because he was "too ethnic".
