it so good to be a dude at my core; such a relief to not be a blame-thrower, panic-motivated, fear-enthralled knee-jerker.
bad things happen and i just shrug it off, man. i dont ask 'why me?' and i dont ask 'why mine? why you?' i dont ask at all. i dont run for cover, i just deal with the moment(s) at hand, man. so, im feeling very dude right now....that being said it sure was an expensive morning, thanks to a biter at the dog park. should have stayed home, i was too ambitious a dog owner! and also since i was relaxed and gently surprised at the minor injury, i could see that there is a beautiful quality to bright red fresh blood in the sunshine when its not expected, big droplets, like jewels landing at my feet. lebowski( black lab mix) has to wear a cone for two weeks and needed 2 ear sutures but she is also a dude and following her namesake continues to 'ABIDE'.
dogs are, or can be, so awesome such 'guardians of being' as some goofball once wrote.

I like that, dude, I feel the same way. I had a very dudely moment recently while waiting in line for a flight. Everyone in front of me was getting told that the flight would be delayed for several hours and they would all, predictably, get annoyed at the poor lady at the desk. When my turn arrived, after I checked in my baggage, she told me that the flight would be delayed and I just shrugged at her and said 'Cool, okay'. She was so happy with my dudeness that, after wondering why everyone coulden't react that way, she gave me several vouchers to buy stuff with in the lounge.
Man, why CAN'T everyone just abide and take it easy when shit goes wrong?
Thanks for the dog tale hannadude. Well-balanced canines are wonderful examples of Dudeness, they live in the moment, accept you for who you are, and are just happy to be alive.
Glad to hear that your dude dog is still abiding, mang!
