Perhaps dude-kind could at least evolve to the point where we could have "non-lethal" wars. Weapons that could kick the hell out of the "enemy" and destroy their ability to make fight but not kill........
US non-lethal weapon 'wish list' revealed on the net
An alleged US military wish list of real and conceptual non-lethal weapons has been published online.
The document includes improvements to equipment already in use as well as proposals for new technologies.

Yeah, I remember hearing about this a few years ago. It's an interesting concept. I think the gist I got back then was more along the lines of wars being fought remotely with machines, and when your side runs out of machines, you have to surrender. Machines die and humans survive to give themselves up. Of course, that involves rules and large death machines that will cause humans to surrender, and waste of resources on a massive scale.
I think the same things works but with laser tag. Giant robot laser tag machines fight by remote piloting and the loser gives up. Oh for casual warfare :)
Of course, if war has to happen, non-lethal weapons designed to incapacitate and capture, as described here, is probably the best way forward :D

That would be a giant leap forward, Rev. dude, hope we see it someday.

I'm waiting for this 5,000th, where he posts a random internet link that reveals the true answers to the mysteries of the universe. It's the link-posting equivolent of infinite monkeys and typewriters. If he keeps posting, he'll get there in the end :)
It doesn't seem that long ago that I posted my 1k (I know I'm a bit behind DB, but there is no catching up with him).

The funniest one we have had so far was the one I called "smiling Jim;" he was the pinhead trying to sell fish tank supplies in his signature by posting carp like "hey, that is good," or "so funny," or "yup, me too," just so he could post something thus keeping his signature in plain view. LOL, forumdude just sort of dropped in one day and axed the jerk. "smiling Jim" got Walter'd. It was brutal! ;D
I remember fishy! :)

Was that "carp" a typo for crap, or because he was selling fish tank supplies, was he genuinely posting "carp" ??? ;D
