Sometimes I wonder how it will take the public to rid itself of self-serving greedy little maggots like Nancy Pelosi who misuse and manipulate the public trust she, and others like her, have been intrusted with........
Indications from the Beltway media world are that "60 Minutes" is preparing to air a segment exploring legislative actions House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi oversaw that might have benefited her husband's stock investments.
... Kroft asked Pelosi whether she considered it a conflict of interest for she and her husband to participate "in a very large IPO deal from Visa at a time there was major legislation affecting the credit card companies" making its way through Congress.

unfortunately those self serving bastards are the ones who put the time and effort into getting where they. if we want to be where they are, ultimately i fear we would end up being them by the time we got there. :(

Sounds like you are echoing the adage of "power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely." So true!
Well that's your opinion man :D
But seriously, these are the people that represent us. They acquire skills during their journey. I would be disappointed if they didn't acquire during their tenure.
Goes something like this;
"Wait you've been a congress person for xxx years and your broke?!"
"You're doing it wrong man!"
"You need to be fired for incompetence!"
Get me some one that knows what they're doing and can get stuff done, I fully expect them to skim some personal gratis, if they're doing a good job for the people!
Take a look at one of the most affective Governors of Louisiana, Edwin W Edwards!
Take a look at any politician.
Is he in it for the good of the country or the good of humanity?
Nope the vast percentage of them are in it for themselves.
Totally corrupt and totally devoid of original thought.
All in MDOP of course...

I have no problem with them being smart, experienced and doing well for themselves; but when they do so using their position and power to manipulate laws to their personal benefit while fucking the public, that is where we need to bust their asses and hold them accountable to the people.
Here is one way to do it.............
The 28th amendment to the US Constitution.
"Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States".
Called an "urban myth" by a couple of websites, but who says it has to be a "myth?" I see no problem with such a proposal to the Constitution.
