Man, I nominate, (sir?) Billy Connelly (comedian/musician) to be included as a great dude in history.

Yeah, I'll have to second that one. Billy is for sure a dude.

Only problem is he's a great Dude but not history yet (even if he is getting on a bit). ;D

He's long been in my self-compiled list of GBDs (Great British Dudes) for the ongoing Dudarchy project.  Saw a really great documentary he did on the Autraliain outback, which was pure Dudely insight and presentation.
