If The Dude crossed balls with Roy Munson, who would win? (...and if this has been covered before, my apologies...) It seems to me that Roy is likely a much more technically adept bowler, even though we have not, of course, actually seen The Dude bowl. But if, in fact, he'd leave Lebowski in the gutter, how would this reflect on the reputation of the Coens? Would their brotherhood status suffer in comparison? Or are Dudes above such comparative analyses?
i like these kinds of threads, man, but i dont knowq what in gods name your blathering about? what do i need to know and i'll rent whatever flick it is.
and since we see neither the dude, nor walter bowl as you say, but we see donny is pretty darn good and the boys did make it to the finals.....whelp, i'd reckon WHOEVER you put up against the dudes team will be going down.
as to what any of this has to do with the coens i am totally uncertain whatcha mean.
regarding the coen brothers i do often wonder what if we had ethan OR joel but not both? what if one had not been born or made it to adulthood? would we still have a single amazing writer/director/producer/editer/what have you, which movies might have never been made, all of them? those boys are pure magic together, it amazes me to think of them, such connective kinetic creative force split in two.
Oh hannahdude, your world will soon be complete!

(hmm, can't get that last bracket to turn into linkage, so you'll have to click into the correction it gives you)
The comparisons beg to be made here. Perhaps a sister movement is in order, maybe with a more Confucian bent: Boorgism?
god, that randy quid thing? really? ok, but i've HEARD that the real deal is a film called 'withnail and i'.....
in fact im going tos tart a thread about it, see whose seen it.
...ya, jread a reference to that one in the dudespaper, curious about it myself...
... no go on Kingpin? Come on, give it another throw... :D
forgot to finish my thought there actually, once i thought about 'withnail and i' but i WAS going to add i never saw it, but i will if you saw i should.
didnt it come out the same year as tbl?
two years before... It's a road movie, so a bit different in that respect. Great movie, though. Some classic Bill Murray. And more explicit coverage of bowling per se. Woody Harrelson struggles to regain his dudeliness, to be sure... Guaranteed hoot.
