What are the rules guys? Is it possible to marry people in the UK as a Dudeist?
I have my official ordination certificate and Letter of Good-Standing, and I believe I read about having to go to the registry office and applying for rights to do so, however I may have misunderstood it.

Sounds exhausting.
Good luck with your totally pointless endevour. This is England for fucks sakes. You're fucked from the start.
Peace dude.
Hey Joe, sorry dude, don't know what has gotten into Caesar dude, but yeah dude, check with the local league office to see what the rules are in your community. Seems each has their own.
i believe that in order to be recognised as an official religion in the uk you must have a permanent place of worship, although in scotland i believe you can apply for a special licence for a one off
Pirate actually it's a little more complicated than that.
Even though there have been a number of misguided campaigns to do with the census, (http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/weekly/aa041601a.htm), in actual fact it takes an act of parliament (in the UK).
There are a number of concessions, for instance the druids are recognised as a religion by the charity commission:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-11457795
and the prison service recognises Paganism (finally):
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1336181/Pagan-prisoners-given-time-worship-Sun-God.html
But you still need (or we need) an act of Parliament to be passed to become an officially recognised religion by the state.
The only recourse we have is the basic Human right (article eight in the UN and article nine in the EU acts, I believe) to practice religion as we see fit as long as it does not break any local laws.
We are back to posts I've made previously, where you can have a blessing almost anywhere you want now, but you need a licensed registrar to make the thing legal. It just happens that (conveniently) Christian priests (and Jewish I think, possibly Muslim, not sure about Buddhists) in the UK are such licensed individuals which means you can have the whole thing in one place (a church). You can pay for the Registrar to attend some other venue if you want.
We are perfect liberty to bless any union (baby, car, van, endeavor), unfortunately we do not have the legal power to fill the forms out and sign them to make the whole thing recognised as a legal union.
administering to the faithful sure sounds like a lot of hastle. wwtdd? say fuck it and go bowling ;D
