Finally found it.
I read sometime back about these dry stacked stone eggs that were being created all around the country (world?). I finally found the image, but not the article. It was in our local paper and supposedly there is one in Pennsylvania but I can no longer find where. This is the one I thought 4weeddude had created in PA.

These are quite probably the very first works of human art ever.
I bet the first human to pile rock on rock for no real reason except for that they dug the way it looked was barely human at all. Sort a cross between a chimp and Richard Millhouse Nixon.
And I bet that bowling came right after when the urge to knock it down hit.
