How did it change your life dude?
I'm still reading it as I get the time so I do not have a good frame of reference yet.
...sorry for the delay replying, cckeiser... got lost in reverie...
The whole "enlightenment doesn't care how you get there" theme was a nicely pointed pin to the bubble of my Catholic upbringing... right book at the right time kinda thing, I guess...
Fuckin'-a dude, that was a worthy fuckin' bubble to burst!
Took me many a year to rid myself of their mind fuck...took a few more years to finally get over being pissed about it. 8)
I' am so lazy I don't know if I can get around to it ......
Well dude, I think all we really need to know is the whole purpose of life is to live it.
After that, everything else just seems to be a lot of BS.
Yeah, I never got around to finish reading it either 4weeddude...to many words. I'll wait for the movie.
As I've said before, we cling to whichever lie helps us deal with the delusion of life and make it easiest for us to bear.
"Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away."
-Philip K. Dick
Its an interesting read. And all the talk of love really leaves me feeling pretty darn good. I suppose it doesn't matter if it's true or real or whatever man. It only matters that I feel good. Ain't that what abiding is all about?
if it feels good... dude it.
