Title: I am in desperate need of the Church's phone number
Post by: JennIppo on May 23, 2011, 06:31:33 PM
I got married this past Saturday and my Dudeist Priest forgot to put the phone number down. Is there anyone that can help me with this?

Thank you so much!

The few weddings I've done, I put my own personal phone number down as the "church" number. Is the county clerk saying that's a no go?

I guess you could send an email to Ollie and ask for his phone number.

Yeah, what the square world does not understand is Dudeism is not their father's type of "Religion". It's something new and doesn't fit into the mold they are used to. It's not like Baptist or Christians dudes. There are no physical churches...our churches are inside each of us. Our church is where ever we are at that moment. Our ceremonies are composed of whatever feels right at that time and place. There's no hierarchy dictating dogma of does and don'ts except to take er easy and Abide...I like to add Do No Harm of course.
If the square world needs a phone number other than that of your dudeist priest, give them the number of your nearest bowling establishment dude. Bowling alleys make just as fine dudeist churches as anything else.
Bowl a few games, get married, have a few oat sodas...your troubles are over dude! 8)

I've heard cursing and swearing referred to as "spitting oaths" and other things along those lines.

I've always liked the Rev Jims wedding service in Taxi.

If I build a "church" ( a building  for gathering  and invite people to come I think i can be free of taxes . since our ordinations show we are ministers or reverends or what not , we can like be like square ones and be tax free , I mean like lawyers and shit might get involved and have to argue cause people get crazy about money and shit ,but i think I may go for that , that's how I plan to abide , cause like I can't abide with nihilists and bankers and shit
