Title: Where you sitting dude?
Post by: Tripnastic on May 19, 2011, 08:18:02 PM
Allright, I see your thoughts, but let me see where they're coming from!

Here's where I sit discussing the Dude with my fellow Dudeists.

A few facts:

All those tags on the left are the passes from fights I've worked as a cutman. They don't all give you one like that, but if they do, I keep it.

The action figure on the wall is Andrei Arlovski.  He was fighting on the same card that I was working and gave it to me.

The picture to Arlovski's right is a signed picture of Chiu Chi Ling from when he did "Kung Fu Hustle".  He played the tailor.  He came in to check out our gym one day.

To Arlovskis left is my basic training graduation photo. Sometimes you have to go Walter to get back to Dude.

You'll see the print that I got from Doug Bloodworth on the wall there.

And down below, my two favorite dudes, standing by each other on a humidor  (THE dude, and yoda, who I believe is a dude)

LOL...  nope, just managed to post the same thing twice on accident.   The other post was taken for a DNA sample then dumped in the ocean.

Ahh the old "man walks into a bar and asks for a Bin laden....Larry asks..."what's that?" ...oh two shot's and a splash please! Boom Boom! (It just gets worse every time!) :)

Did it work?
If so, I will tell you what all that blurry stuff is.

looks like i done did it.
so things to note;
nixon bowling poster, vintage bowling bags(and balls, not shown) i've been collecting them for 20 years.
maude bobble-head, a pinkie toe in a specimin holder and some green nail polish, and underneath those; two TBL scripts, one cast signed copy. A 'finishing my coffee' mug, 2 decks of TBL playing cards, and my kids bowling trophy from when she was 6.
above that is my certificate of ordination(2006) and my letter of good standing!
I would like to add a thought..... this makes me look like more of a TBL fan than a Dudeist. I want it known TBL isnt even in my top 5 fav movies, though I love it and it is in the top 10. and i'm not movie-phile neither, too lazy to sit through enough movies to call myself that exactly...thats all!

I LOVE the rug mouse pad.  Awesome Dude!

How did you manage to get a cast signed script?

Where do you get online, dude? I lived in either a tent or hut during, I would say, 2 1/2 seasons for the past couple of years or so. One of the major inconveniences (and there were many) was that if I wanted to go online, I needed to do it in or close to the farmhouse on the property or else drive to the local library during their hours, which were sparse. Lots more to talk about here as far as how much time and energy it left me to do anything except eat, sleep, tote water, take care of my cat, and walk to the latrine, especially when the weather got cold. Daily routines just took a lot longer.

I didn't think of it as being homeless, but other people did, and I guess it was in the modern way of thinking. I would have liked to install more amenities in my little hut (I did manage to set up an outdoor kitchen the second summer), but I'm not real inclined toward DIY stuff. All the snow and ice we got this past winter collapsed it, and I don't know if I'll try to revive it or take it apart.

Anyway, hope you're doing ok, man. It's a hard life.

I can honestly say mine is not.  It's usually littered with cups, cans and uh..business papers.  I cleaned it so I decided that was a good time to take a picture, since I knew it wouldn't last long!

Haven't figured out how to up load images to my 10 Mb free web space yet. Actually I haven't figured out how to up load anything to the free space from my ISP and find it again!
Soooo...here's a short video.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=giF_hDkIraI

The notebook on the (left) I use for "working" and private stuff; all my writings are on that one and backed up on the WD My Book you can see next to it. The notebook on the right is a cheap refurb I use for the internet. I used to use the other for internet too till it got all bollixed when I down loaded something I shouldn't have. Had a hell of a time getting back up and working. There are still a few bugs in it, the dvd player no longer works and it still overheats when making long videos with a lot of special fx. I never down load anything on that one any more...never...never...never. The one on the right is a Toshiba L455 refurb I bought direct from the Toshiba web site for $300. I am still leary of down loading anything from the internet even on that one though. There is usually a catch if something is "Free".
