Cigars that is.
We will be able to get them legally.
Government has ok'ed a trial program to start this summer.
If it works out (not sure what wouldn't work out) then it'll go permanent.

Sweet! I only smoke cigars once in a very, very blue moon, but I have always wanted to try a Cuban cigar at least once. Might have to check 'em out, even if they leave me cold and I end up going back to tobaccoless White Owls afterward. ;)
I only hate that the shop had to jump through so many hoops and engage in tireless legal wrangling for the "privilege" of selling something that should never have been illegal in the first place. How on Earth did cigars ever fall under the purview of the Treasury Secretary?
Hate to be the bearer of bad news dudes, but this is an april fools joke.
Damn April fools.
I was really hoping to see an end of the embargo, for the sole sake of never having to hear another claim that Cubans are better.
Cuban cigars suck. I don't have the time to waste explaining why, there are plenty of good forums and magazines about it. It's a show off thing. It's "cool" because it's illegal. I guess if you like chompin on strong nasty tasting, over priced cigars go for it, but don't fool yourself. It's not the best.
La Flor Dominicana...ligero robusto. THE BEST (IMO)
Cuban...Dog shit.
Oh those mofo's.
It's bay of pigs on Famous smoke shop.
I'm red in the face. They got me.
Man, I love the UK, many a fine Cuban I have smoked in my life :)
It has always made me sad for the US that you have this ridiculous embargo with one of your few neighbours that keeps such things from you.
Glad you're finally gonna be able to join us in a good quality smoke, dudes! :D

:::scrambles for my notebook::: Awesome. New recommendation!
Looks like if I want to really find out what good cigars are all about, I'll have to order a sampler pack of some kind. There are so many choices and so little time.
Yea, honestly it's all personal preference. I know there are people out there that can tolerate a strong cigar, but that's like drinking xtra bold coffee that exceeds the ratio of filter to water, and ur left with pure caffeine sludge.
or at least that's my experience with them.
right after this thread was started i went to my local shop and realized they jacked the price up on the double ligeros i wanted and for 8 bucks it's just not worth it. They used to be moderately priced at 5 bucks a smoke after tax, and i think people started listening to me or something. Serve me right for the future.
If you like flavor, try a Makers Mark cigar. It's delcious. Expensive as hell though.
Macanudos portofinos are swell too, but you probably have that one in the notebook already. That was my first 'premium' cigar.
If i want to smoke something cheap, I like backwoods.
And if you're my dad and you want to smoke something hand rolled and cheap, ROSA CUBA.
